When you are doing something enjoyable, time really pass very fast. It has been more than a month since I was a headhunter. It was a tough and yet enjoyable experiences. Everyday, I get to talk to people from all walks of life. Through them, I learn alot. Through them, I get to know all sort of strength and weakness in an organisation.

Everything was going fine until I was told by my boss that my client was "uncomfortable" with me. I had a shocked of my life. This was the first time someone told me they are "uncomfortable." He explained in detail that the Account Manager told him that and he felt puzzled too. My first hunch was what happen? I showed my boss proof of my conversation with my client. He scan through the messages and told me it was fine. He has no explanation and felt puzzled. My boss just told me since it has come to this situation, why not I step back and don't go for the meeting with them this Thursday. I realised Thursday was a day that I had booked with the client to meet them for lunch. So, does this means all that I have done throughout the month just to let people take credit. What a boss to work with just to protect his own account manager.

I can't believe it is already the 2nd week of my new job as a recruiter. Time pass unbelievably fast. Jobs are slowly piling up and I still got to go around hunt for potential candidates. Gosh, never knew that recruiter can be that busy.

"SINGAPORE : Manpower Minister Gan Kim Yong has said more overseas Singaporeans are returning, attracted by more opportunities here.

He cited two examples when he opened the new Employment Pass Services Centre at Upper Circular Road on Tuesday.

One is Teo Hui Sin, a Harvard—educated Singaporean, who applied for several jobs in the US but had difficulty in getting one there. This eventually accelerated her return home. She has since accepted a position at the Ministry of Finance.

The other is Chia Wee Boon, who returned home from the US to be the Chief Operating Officer at NCS as he wanted to help the company succeed in the global arena. He was previously with Hewlett Packard’s US office.

Mr Gan said the global downturn has made Asia more attractive. He said Singapore should capitalise on this to make it a more attractive home for talent, both local and globally.

The newly—launched Employment Pass Services Centre reduces the time taken for Employment Pass holders to register for Long Term Pass cards by about half.

The cards — which have fingerprint biometrics and a photo image — serve as identification for foreign workers, who hold employment passes, and their dependents.

Mr Gan said: "While we work to attract the brightest talent to our shores, we also recognise the need to facilitate their stay in Singapore.

"This includes providing them with identification cards enhanced with new security features. The palm—sized card will allow them to travel in and out of Singapore with ease and convenience."

Currently, foreigners working in Singapore holding professional qualifications and earning more than S$2,500 monthly can apply for an employment pass. — CNA/ms"

It was a very encouraging piece of new especially to know that more and more Singaporeans choose to come back to work. Indeed, the global meltdown has resulted in an increase in unemployment rate in the world. Fortunately, the Asia market managed to recover partly due to the growth in China's market.

However, I can't help noticing the references that our Minister has provide are either Scholars or people who hold a senior position in oversea market. With reference from the article " Teo Hui Sin, a Harvard—educated Singaporean"; " Chia Wee Boon,previously work in Hewlett Packard’s US office and return home to take up the position Chief Operating Officer at NCS". Furthermore, with these two references, the Minister suggest that because of this opportunity, we should hire more foreign talents and bring them in to Singapore.

It is no secret that Singapore has always been recruiting the "elites" since the 90s. Every Singaporeans has always been taught that without these "elites", Singapore cannot grow and we should openly accept these group of people. I agreed with this statement, but recently, I stop to think is that really true? I understand beginning a small country without any nature resources, the only services we could provide and make ourself as a competitors is to provide our only resources people and talents. It is also due to this reason, the government has been grooming talents since the 90s. The biggest question now is: "Why? Up to this point in time, the government still says that we lack the talents? We need more elites?" Have we Singaporean really fail in the aspect of becoming talents that the government seeks to groom? Or have we really become comfortable in our zone and refuse to become the talent? With more than 10 years of recruitment for elites and talents, why are we short of talents?

One possible explanation could be that these talents refused to delegate their role and knowledge. As a result, knowledge and skills are not passed on and we need another elite to fill up the position. Another reason that I could think of could be that these elites or talents seeks to work in Singapore to get a Permanent Resident (PR). Upon getting their hand on this Blue/Pink IC, they move on to other countries.

Coming back to my first explanation, suppose if this is the organisational structure that Singapore based on, does this suggest that the middle and lower class earner are unable to progress and advance up this level even though they have the talent? Clearly, this suggest that the government should re-consider about their approach in hiring more elites and talents. Having said this, I'm not an individual who oppose to the idea of hiring these foreign talents. But, I just don't feel that it is fair to hire these group of people do not delegate and groom further Singaporeans. Surely, there got to be a system to improve this shortage of "talents" and "elites".

A little Hamster Tales 2009

Hamster, adorable house pets that most people would love to own. Who could resist those sparkly glassy eyes without giving it a pat on its head? Here is a story to this poor little fellow whom I found.

I recalled it was a Friday night and I was sitting in the park nearby my estate chatting with my good buddy, Zephery. We were engrossed in our conversation until this black cat broke my attention. I noticed that there is a greyish, white object in the cat mouth. My initial though was it must be a mouse or some toys that the cat got hold off. I chose to ignore it and continued my conversation. Then, I noticed the greyish, white object begin to run and the cat just used its paws to pin in on the ground. This just further assured me that it really must be a mouse. After awhile, the cat ran off leaving the "mouse" behind. Well, there was this two Indian kids who were skating in the park. One of them decided to chase after the cat and so the cat just ran.

After awhile, I noticed the greyish white "mouse" started running again. But something is just not right. If it was a mouse, it would and should have a tail. This "thing" here just don't have one. I began to have doubt. I told Zephery: Hey, do you think it might be a Hamster. We debated over this for awhile. Both of us just cannot believed or imagined what on earth a Hamster is doing in a park with a cat!? I decided to walk forward to check it out and Wahooo... it was indeed a hamster. Feeling sorry for it, I decided to bring it back home and post a note in facebook for adoption. Sadly, this poor little fellow only managed to live for another 2 more days before it passed away in its sleep. I guessed either it was suffering from internal injuries or the shock was just too great for it. But at least, it died peacefully in its sleep. Such a sad tale and ending for this poor fellow.

Inspiration Singing and Spirit

A few days ago, while surfing around on the net, I came across this article: Britain got talent: Susan Boyle. I am not really a big fans of Britain got talent. But something just came into my mind and ask me to click the link and I did it. Out came this familiar window which load a video.

The video shows a mid-age lady walking up to the stage. She has those typical average aunt look, you can find at the supermarket. When the judges ask her why is she here. She answered with confident that she wanted to fulfill a dream, a dream to become a professional singer. It was at this very point, some of the audiences laugh at her, some even gave those looks that usual tell you :Oh comon look at you, you just have to be kidding here. Nevertheless, she ask for her song and started to sing. The minute she started singing, the whole place was quiet for a few seconds before everyone started standing up and shouting and cheering for her. She has such an amazing voice that even the judges were pretty shocked and you could just read their lip and know they are say: WOW !!

I would comment that this video is a very inspirational video. It clearly showed this lady who refuse to back down her dream, even though it was clearly that she is quite old, refuse to back down to the audiences who laugh and mock her. She just do what she can do best which is for this case to sing. Now check out this video for people who fail to find it online.

Movie Review: Knowing

Ever wonder whether our life is govern by determinism or pure randomize? Whether the result of our action is pre-determine by fate/numbers or just a accident of evolution cycle? Well, that is the movie: Knowing about.

For people who have yet to watch this movie, please do not continue down this section any further as it will just spoil all your expectation after watching the trailer.

Out of 5 star rating, I would rate this movie 3. The overall plot for this movie is above average expect for the ending where I kinda of feel that it is a rather disappointing ending. Why on earth would alien come to pick up 2 children to go to a nice beautiful planet with a huge golden tree. Seriously, this ending straight away reminds me of the the beginning of adam and eve story in the bible where Adam and Eve live in a garden of paradise where a tree of knowledge there in the middle of everything. Furthermore, if anyone is look for a happy ending movie. Don't watch this movie, either, because everyone single living creatures on earth just died from the horrible horrible supernova. This again brought my attention to the bible again where it noted in it that we, humans, will not be wiped from a flood disaster, but rather from fire. I would have to comment the producer that the movie concept of the human race being wipe from fire (the supernova from the sun) was really good. But the best scenes in the movie, I would give it the part where the train crash in the subway and the part whereby the plane came crashing down beside the highway. I would say it gave me quite a good shocked. I mean: wow, who would have though that the main character would be staying there, witnessing the whole event and even alive from all these predicted futures. In summery, I would say I like the movie. But it would be better, if they could change the ending. I am not really looking at a nice perfect good ending. But rather, if they wish to end the movie with the children going to paradise, I would rather the movie end with cage dying together with his family embracing together.

Earth Hour Singapore

After posting an entry to signify the importance of saving our Mother Earth, I happen to surf around and found that Singapore actually tried to do their part in promoting awareness during Earth Hour. I am both surprise and trill by the fact that Singaporeans have slowly emerged in playing a part to show the world that we do care for our planet Earth.

However, there are some pictures that do disappoint me. For example the events that is going on Esplanade. It is suppose to be Earth Hours, we are trying to cut down on the amount of electricity used. But, there is an concert going on in Esplanade!? I can't believe my eyes when I saw those pictures. Furthermore, I came across this video whereby Singapore try to light an array of candles to show that Singapore care for th earth. The thought is sweet, BUT look at the amount of trash they made. If one observe carefullly, you can see that the wax are dripping all over the floor in the middle fo the road. The next thing you know, after the event, the cleaners are going to have a hard time clean up the place especially it is in a middle of the cycling track. Earth hour is to conserve engery and reduce all types of trash to help save our mother Earth. All this actions seems to me like people are more enjoying because of the events rather than saving Earth.

Today is the day where millions and millions of people to play their part in saving our mother Earth. I am so glad to hear from the news report that 88 countries had combine effort in each individual ways to raise awareness in saving our mother Earth. Famous buildings such as the Taipei 101 Tower, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Oriental Pearl Tower from Shanghai, etc... all join in by switching off their lights for one hour.

Earth Day 2009

"Save the cheerleader, Save the world" as quoted from Heroes Season 1. However, in reality, there is no special super hero cheerleader to be save. The only super hero is ourself and I urger everyone to do your part for Earth Hour 2009.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

Earth Hour is Saturday the 28th March from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. Time zone is where ever you may be in the world. Do your Part, Save the WORLD people.

Farewell, Aussie

I meant to write about this during New Year, but for some reason, I never seem to be able to find the chance to put it in words.

During the year of 2008, I made a life changing decision which was to stay in Aussie and get my PR. It was a tough one to make especially when my parents strongly objected to this decision. However, I proceeded on with it. At that point in time, I knew that the lifestyle in Perth was what I wanted. And so, I applied my PR. However, the immigration rules on PR has also changed at that point in time. Before, I could get my PR. I needed to apply a Graduate Skill Visa and worked with an Australian Company for a year before I could qualify myself for this PR status. It was both a good new and bad new for me. Under the old management system, I would not be able to qualify to apply for PR. Under this change in rule, I am able to find a means to get my PR in Aussie. However, I do find that it is abit risky as there is no promise that anyone can get their PR under this new system. With this worry, I went on.

Life wasn't always a bed of rose during this period of time. I met with challenges after challenges. Some of these challenges was so hard to overcome that I almost felt like giving up. At certain point in time, I would agree that I was down with mild depression. But who would have not when face with these: Family pressure, money depleting fast, no source of income, Accommodation issue, Rejections after rejection by lots of Aussie companies and etc. Even then, I push on.

It was until July where I made a decision to stop my PR application and head back to Singapore. It was a piece of news that demoralise me: The Rudd government have officially announce that due to the economy crisis they decided to cut down on the level of immigrants coming in to Aussie. I felt sad because I knew that at that point in time, I wasn't even approve of my graduate skill visa. This piece of news that public announced to the whole of Aussie tell us that: Aussie cannot take in more immigrants. Furthermore, I wasn't even secured with a stable career. Even though, I made that big decision to stop my PR. I still couldn't bear to leave Aussie. It was painful, yet full of joyful memories there.

Here is a tribute to what that made my Aussie experience such a unforgettable one.

The Road trip

Who can forget that. The experience where friends sat in the same car and driver getting lost at road. Redirecting traffic because Car "Shiro" broke down at the round about. The beautiful resort which made us WaHHh so much and Cable TV at the Living Room. The Swimming pool that looks as if was connected with the sea. The Wonderful food from BBQ. Lastly, tulips and more tulips from Araluen Botanic Garden. Not to forget the Aussie guy who cannot do basic math and even gave us back the wrong change for the entry tickets. "Lui Zai"

Mooncake Festival

Even though we are oversea in Ang Mo country, that doesn't mean we forget about this joyful event. Enjoy mooncakes (Very expensive mooncakes but still a must) and each individual a cup of Japanese green tea at the peak of Kings Park.

Birthday Celebration

Ah yes,Birthday. Driving up to a new beach, just to look for a BBQ pit. End up, just to find that whole place under renovation. Cut the cake in front of a toilet somemore but all Smiley faces there. Ciao Italia pizza. BBQ at Millpoint road.

Oyster Bar

Millpoint Road Oyster bar. Fresh oyster that made us couldn't stop from ordering mor and more. It was a good thing that Tuesday night and oysters were on offers.

Perth Royal Show

Every wonder why the ang mo always show they love Fun fair. Now we finally understand y. It really FUN FAIR. Lots of huge prizes to be won, fun rides and fire works to enjoy. Look at what we won that night.

Swan Valley

Glass after glass of wine to taste. Enjoy the peaceful environment together with a nice good lunch.

KTV Session

"One night in Beijing", "F.I.R", "Jay Chow", etc. This is one moment we sing until 2 am in the morning and the whole KTV Utopia at Northbridge was fill with our voices. Who can forget the moment where we go toilet and found out we are the only people left and we sing/scream somemore so loud. At the counter, it was so pai sei to pay the bills.

YunYen Birthday

It was once in lifetime event that we decided to head down to try a $50++ buffet. Expensive, but enjoying. Love the place and the seafood.

Abalone Trip

My very first abalone fishing trip. It was a daring attempt. We didn't even know where to find those abalone fishing ground. Got up 4.30 am in the morning and head down. Though we were at the correct spot, even went all the way out swimming to look for it. All we find is seaweeds. Just when we decided to give up and go around the area for a tour. We saw this sign stated Abalone fish here. Dumbfound and was like aiya. So we are at the wrong spot. Also, who can forget the strong wave that knock us roll while trying to get the abalone which is struck to a rock. Somemore, I even lost my slipper there. Caught lots of Abalone until a point we have to BBQ to eat them whole. Hmm..yummy.

Crabbing

who can forget this part. We risk out foot to be pinch by the crab just to get there. After all the hard work, the crabs reward us by becoming chilli Crabs. So nice.

World Famous Pizza

Live up to its name. The dessert pizza it was so heavenly sweet and nice.

Fremantle Festival

Love to party at the street? This is one event that no one should miss. Enjoy a float carnival full of people protesting for world peace, environment protection and clubs promotion.

Tuesday night event: Half Price Waffler

Tuesday night is here and no where to go. Why not meet up everyone to enjoy a waffler ice-cream and at half price.

Farewell Pinewood, Unit 18

Live there for two over years, just before I return back the keys, an overwhelming sadness overcame me. So much memories in this house. Although, it is a lousy place but it was still a very nice neighborhood where I get through my University life. All the jogging, chatting with neighbours, neighbour roof caught fire, walking to the school, cooking with Yunyen, tony and Zhe Xun, dinner parties with everyone, plucking the weeds off the garden, watching Simpson on the super small TV, playing Lan games together until morning and so much more.

Winter has officially pass in Perth and Spring definitely hit Perth. Recently, I have been addicted to a certain type of fruit call the Loquat.

How did I even came across this fruit?

Well, the story goes like this:
It has long caught my attention that birds have been snatching off fruits from a particular tree. For weeks, I have been walking up to this tree and taking a closer look at it. However, I have no idea what sort of fruit it is? This is not the sort of common fruit one could get in the supermarket. One day, I met the owner of the tree and asked him. He told me it was call Loquat and even offer me to try one. It was a mind blowing experience with just one bit off the fruit. This fruit is so juicy and the best part of it, it taste like honey. I have never tasted fruit that is so sweet and yet juicy. Seriously, everytime I walked past that tree now, I would just help myself to a few of the fruit. Even as I am typing this post, my mouth just water just thinking about this fruit. Hmmm... Loquat....

According to Wiki:

Loquat fruits, growing in clusters, are oval, rounded or pear-shaped, 3-5 cm long, with a smooth or downy, yellow or orange, sometimes red-blushed skin. The succulent, tangy flesh is white, yellow or orange and sweet to subacid or acid, depending on the cultivar. Each fruit contains five ovules, of which one to five mature into large brown seeds. The skin, though thin, can be peeled off manually if the fruit is ripe. The fruits are the sweetest when soft and yellow.

Bak Kut Teh

Bak Kut Teh. A food delicacy that is not strange to many Asian. A easy way to describe such dish would be: Tender pork ribs cook under herbal soup and serve with a bowl of hot steam rice. Talking about Bak Kut Teh, one must not forget to include You Chia Kua too.

I would say it used to be a very common dish in Singapore. However, over the years, it seems to be getting harder to find a good stall that sell good Bak Kut Teh. Here I am to recommend a good stall that sells pretty good Bak Kut Teh. For people who take public transport, just take MRT to Clark Quey and walk towards exit E. Cross the traffic light and you should be able to see a whole shop that sells only Bak Kut Teh. Just in case, anyone feel they would get lost. Never fear as long as you see Riverwalk Shopping Center. You are at the right place because the Bak Kut Teh shop is just beside Riverwalk Shopping Center.

For people who demands cheap Bak Kut Teh such like $3 or less. I would strongly recommend go to the market buy a packet of spicies and pork ribs and cook youself. Such delicacy usually cost more that $6 dollar. However, if you are a fan who is looking to try out this traditional dish. You can check out this place to try it out.

Here is a simple review: From the creator of Sims, comes the new game SPORE. Here in the game, we get to create from a single cell organism and evolve slowly to a species and then we built a civilization and then we get to choose to conquer the galaxy or become a peaceful nation and co-exist with the world. Spring Time in Rosalind Way

It is a freezing winter this season in Perth. The weather was like 6 degree in the morning and 17 in the morning. Not to forget to mention about the rainy days throughout the winter. It was until last week, Perth started to have a whole week of sunny weather. I sort of guess spring was here but I wasn't too sure about it until I take a walk in the garden and saw these.

Flowers are blooming and Herbs such as spring onions and Italian parsley are all growing. I hardly could believe my eyes after seeing all these in the garden behind me. It just feel so good and spring is indeed here in Perth.

Karma is a funny thing

Karma, just what is karma? According to Wikipedia, karma is the results of all deeds actively from the past, present, and future experiences, or 'fruits' of actions which made one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others. A more easy way of interpreting that explanation would be do good and good will come to you. Do bad and bad will strike you.

I wasn't always the type that believe in karma but recently after watching this show:

I begin to believe in karma and so I started practicing it. I made it a point that I should do good while working at my part-time job at Caltex. How? Well, I sort of let customers go when they are short of a few cents and always try to the elderly when I can. However, the real big challenge came a few weeks ago when a colleague of mine can't work. He was apparently sick and fainted at work the previous night. So his brother called in for him and informed my manager, Duncan that he can't work that very night. So at about 7.30pm, I recalled receiving a phone call from an unknown number(one of the issue with Iphone and they seriously should solve this problem). I picked up and there was Duncan asking me if I could just fill in for that colleague of mine as he was at his end and couldn't find anyone to work that very night. Well out of good will, I agreed to that request even though I was pretty exhausted from my morning shift that very day.

So, there I was back at work that very night and shocking everyone there because I was working double shift. I was kind of pretty down but still I do what I have to do. Just as I was putting chocolates up the shelf, something caught my eyes. Naturally, I bend down and take a closer look. Guess what !! OMG !! It was a fifty dollar note. I can't believe my own eyes. I mean what on earth is a fifty dollar note doing on the floor !? The first explanation that ran through my mind was could I have drop this fifty dollar note from my cashier? Anyway, I kept that note in my cashier and waited until the next morning to do a end shift declaration. Hey, my system did not indicated that I was shorted of fifty dollar note. Wow and that was the very incident that inspired me to continue to do good and be responsible for my own action. To further enhance my point on karma, here is incident number 2:

There was this guy over at my work place that seems to have issue working. Either he would be late for work or he just don't show up. So out of concern, I asked the manger in training, Lorrisa, whether do she need help that morning since I saw the duty roster shows that only that guy would be working that morning. I guess delighted by my "concern", she asked if I could come in early to help her out. Well, since karma pointed to me that I should help people, I agreed. So I went to work that very day and true indeed, that guy was late for work for two hours. Lorrisa was grateful that I came early to help her out if not she wouldn't be able to handle the whole shop alone. But the whole story didn't just end there. By the time, it was about noon. A though just pop into my mind. I was thinking would karma reward me today for helping out? If karma would help me, I would be glad if I could have a $30 dollar optus recharge for my phone. Just before I sign off from my cashier, I realised there was a recharge value paper on the machine. Out of curiosity, I take a look and it was a $30 dollar optus recharge !!! I asked that guy did he do a sale on recharge and forgot to give it to the customer? He told me he did sell one recharge but it was a fifty dollar value and he has cancel the $30 dollar value. He has no idea why did the machine still print out the recharge value and told me to take it. There KARMA strikes again !! I can't believe it myself. I mean there I was wishing for something and that something really came. Karma really works in a way where we never know and expected.

I have recently started to work as a service attendant in a nearby Petrol Station. I cannot believe my eyes when I see the salary I drew from my two weeks of work. Check this out:

I hardly could believe my eyes. I meant look at this amount of money. I know I know it is not a lot for a graduate. But just a simple job like servicing customer in a Petrol Station and working only close to 36 hours a week, I got this. No wonder they say in Australia even you do not have a degree, you can still survive. Now I truly believe it now. And Geesh, why didn't I started on this job during my university days. It could have provide me with better cash flow than that Thai restaurant I work in. Oh well no point crying over spill milk.

Just yesterday night, I was chatting on Msn with one of my Kai Ki, Tony. He was telling me Diablo 3 is coming !! I was like OMG, NNnooooo way, you got to be kidding me. I mean Blizzard just have plans to release Starcraft 2 this end of the year and they can't possible release plans that they are working on the next episode of Diablo. I couldn't believe what I see on my laptop screen until I saw the trailer for the game. It was immersing. The game play doesn't feel like it change a lot but yet it seems like the game upgrade so much. The graphic is so much clearer and smooth now. And from the look of the trailer, the minions really made me feel fear. It is like throngs of monster swarming at you while you explore the dungeon. I seriously do hope they would reduce the lag time for the barbarian skills. I mean being a fans of physical violent in Diablo 2. The Barbarian is one mean fighting machine until it reach the Hell level where everyone seems to be stronger than him and the only skill I could recall using is whirlwind. Not to attack but to escape from throngs of monster because they are all elemental stronger than me, not to forget the part where some of them are immune to physical damage. It hail again. While on my way to sent yunyen to work, it started to hail. All the ice and rain falling from the sky. It almost felt as if X'mas is here. However, I do pity those out on the street. As it started to hail, I can't help to notice that there was this guy running for shelter. Ouch that seriously got to hurt really bad. All the rain and ice cubes hitting at you. It was at this moment I am thankful for owning a car. Although the fuel prices is kind of a killer nowadays, still the car save me from getting bash mindlessly from the ice.

I cannot believe my eyes when I open my internet explorer today and lo and behold I saw something familiar. Madagascar 2 !!?? Unbelievable. Never have I expect Dreamwork to continue to work on Madagascar. I have though that all the dancing, attitude and running away from the Zoo was the peak of the show and Dreamwork shouldn't be able to come with anymore new ideas. Immediately, I type in Madagascar 2 in the search engine and check out their main website trailer preview on the movie. 3 year HapPee aniversary Getway

Unbelievable ... 3 year. I cannot believe myself that my relationship with Yunyen has being 3 long years. It just felt like we have only begin our relationship for only a month. Gosh, where has all the time flew? Anyway, to celebrate our three beautiful years together, we had come up with a romantic getaway. A nice picnic by the beach
and to top it off a romantic movie.
Where to get a nice place to picnic and yet feel the romances in the air? Well, I guess it is no other than the Cottesloe beach. Before a picnic can begin, we head down to grab sushi, coca-cola, jester pie and a subway. It took us about 15 minute to get down to the beach. When we arrived there, the beach as usual was a beauty.

We found a spot, took out our picnic mat and sat down to enjoy a lovely lunch by the beach. I would comment that the romantic lunch would have being better if not for these few drunk Aussie who keep throwing bread crumbs to feed the seagulls. Half the time, I was protecting my food from the seagulls. Well just in case, those birds suddenly felt hungry enough to attack us for more food. The other time, I was fearful of those birds pooping on us since they were hovering above our heads half the time. And it was all thanks to those drunk Aussie. But overall, I would say it still quite a romantic lunch by the beach.

We left the beach at about 4pm and head back to Garden City. What more to end the lovely day by watching the movie: Sex and the City. It was the first time I entered a cinema and found the ratio of guys to girls was like 10: 1.

Well standing on a guy point of view, I agree with the guys that this is not a movie where most guys would want to watch. There was no action, no deep underly plots to be resolve and no matrix-like graph. However, after watching the movie, I would rate the movie 10/10 rating. Even though without those usual graph effect and action, it was such a romantic movie that emphasis what is LOVE? Thus, this conclude our romantic day out and embrace ourself for our 4th year.

Caversham Wildlife Park and the Swan Valley~~

After my graduation, I took my family to the infamous Swan Valley and the Caversham Wildlife Park with a big finger cross. That is because my family wish to see some grapes in real life. But the issue here is, it is March. The season for grapes is over and I really doubt I could find anymore around with them being dried up prune. Anyway, I still proceeded ahead to try to find any left. But first stop is the Caversham Wildlife Park.

The Caversham Wildlife Park is one great place to check out the wild life in Australia without paying too much of course. One get to feed the Kangaroos and take pictures with Kola. For more information check out the website here: http://www.cavershamwildlife.com.au/.

After a few hours of walking around and enjoying all the bit of pieces of the wildlife, we head down to the Swan Valley. Guess what, we hit Jackpot. yeah !!! Yeah !!! Yeah !! Grapes and at this period of the year. Check this out.

Not to mention too, the grapes taste like sugar. I have never taste grapes that were these sweet in my life. Gosh ... now I understand why on earth do those food critiques always say grapes are sweet.

Updating Part 2:.....

Let's see is there any other major incident that happened during these two months. Oh yes yes, how could I even forgot to blog about it. Oh, silly me. Yes, Yes people. I am officially a graduate of Murdoch University which meant that I am a degree holder. Yeah !! yeah !! Looking back at my primary school's day, I recalled that my form teacher even have doubt that I could make it pass secondary without having to retain or ending up in the normal stream. But hey hey look here I still made it. Even though I was being called stupid and couldn't even get a basic math question right, look at me now. I still graduated and to even spice things up I graduated with a Psychology Degree. So people out, don't feel sad even if your teacher called u dumb or stupid or even untalented. Be stubborn like me, hang in there and your world will get better. It's all hard work and perseverance that will help you through this realistic world where grades and talent is worth more than gold. But oh well ... I still graduated. yahooo... to graduation.

One funny thing about graduation in Murdoch might be the bright red regalia. The regalia with it's hood look so much like what Harry Potter wear in the movie. But overall, the whole experience is still pretty fun. I don't recall being to happy and excited before. Not even when I attended my polytechnic graduation. Guess must be the feeling of accomplishment and attaining something that I want.

It has been two months since I last posted anything. Well for a starter, I recently just shifted to a new place. Due to the shocking high increased in rent prices, I was forced to leave the very nice Millpoint Road to my current new place in Coolbellup. Now that's a very big change in location. From a very nice city view from my window, all I see now is trees trees and more trees. Gosh. Oh well.. what could I do rental prices is just shocking high. After having moved out from Millpoint, I spent the next two months viewing houses after houses. Some of them seems to be build from scrap wood, while others were so good where the whole of the swan river view is just outside your balcony. Unfortunately, I got none of the those places. Why? That's because there was 30 application in getting a house. OMG!!!! where on earth these people come from. It seems like half the people in Perth was homeless or looking for a new place to stay. Geesh. It's such a bad experience in finding a place to stay.

Anyway ... I think I will continue another time. Don't really feel well yet, since trying to recover from my cough and flue which pester me over 1 week.

A Singapore Short Story

Well well, back to Perth again. Time really flew. In a blink of an eye, I had already spent one month in Singapore. Here I must apology to those dear friends whom I have promised to meet and ended up I didn't. I know I know the same excuse I always give is that I am busy. Please believe me dear friends, it is seriously true. I didn't get back home until like 5am in the morning almost everyday. Anyway to cut things short. I wanted to write about this before the night I came back to Perth which was on the 28th February 2008.

I was on my way back from Minglong's place after collecting some "stuffs" from him. It was close to 10 pm. Then it suddenly dawn to me that hey I am going back to Perth to continue the next phase of my life. It was this sight that made me feel kind of sad leaving Singapore and finding a job in Perth.

For some reason, I feel suddenly missing Singapore and the life I am leading here. All the 3 years in Perth studying, I didn't even miss Singapore. But now all of the sudden with the though of going back to Perth to try applying for a Visa (with a 50-50 chance of getting it) and looking for a job, made me worried and homesick. This though keep racing through my mind: Is it really worth the trouble of coming to Perth to look for a job here? With all these troubled thoughts, I lay down to sleep. The fateful morning where I am to leave for Perth made me even more sad. The sight of my grandfather sitting there on a stool at my corridor almost made me cried. He knew that I was going back to Perth and quickly wake up and just sat there to see me off. This sight really make me emotional. My grandfather is close to 90 years old. I recalled before my University days, I always spent time with him at home chatting with him about china or we could be arguing whether or not to keep the clothes. However these 3 years oversea with me gone all the time, there wasn't anyone there to chatting and joke with him. Furthermore, this recent trip back to Singapore, I noticed that my grandfather aged so much as compared to 2006. He began to have hearding problem and he has to use a walking stick. Upon hearing my idea of going back to Perth to find a job, he didn't rejected my idea. He just told me to go ahead with my plan and wish me all the best for it. This was what made me very emotional. We both knew clearly in our heart that we, grandpapa and grandson, may or may not even get the chance to meet next year given by my grandfather's age. However, we still stand at the door like two grown men bidding each other goodbye and promising the other party I will see you again next year.

Thus, this concluded my little Singapore Story. Live well, grandpapa. I really do hope to see you next year or anytime soon.

Coming of the Year of Rat 2008

15 more minutes to the coming of the Rat year and everyone is busy with last minute cleaning, packing, tidying up the house or standing at Chinatown to feel the spirit of Chinese Lunar New Year. Looking back at the previous posts, I realised I have not been able to fully enjoy Chinese New Year for the past 3 years. Given that University start somewhere mid of February, I either have to go back before Chinese New Year eve or on the first day of New Year eve. Finally, I am able to enjoy the spirit of chinese and in my very homeland.

I do have to comment that Chinese Year has changed so much. This year there wasn't much stalls stepup for Chinese Year. I was pretty much shocked and of course disappointed. I learnt that this was due to an unfortunate event where two children was being burn alive and the reason they couldn't escape was due to the stallers owners who tried to expand out their store and end up trapping their escape route.

Although, there weren't much stores setup for Chinese New Year but the routine is pretty much the same. After a hard work of cleaning up the house, it was steamboat with the family. Then clean upmore or watch the TV until like midnight. It just feels so comfortable where you see so much aisan culture and especially the chinese TV part. Oh look at the time now: Happy Chinese New Year 2008.

I guess I will stop here and go out to wish my parent a Happy New Year first.

Back to Singapore

It's been close to 3 day since I landed at Singapore. The feeling of returning back home is really full of mixed emotion and feelings. I recalled watching the whole of Singapore's nightview on the plane and telling Yunyen omg look it is so bright and beautiful. It is so different from Perth. After the plane docked, we walked out and see for ourself the infamous Terminal 3 airport. It is huge !? I reckon it is at least 2 times the size of Terminal 2. After all the small details, I was sitting at a taxi on my way home. It was close to 10pm and there are still people everywhere. Gosh, I just feel so excited seeing so many people. It's feels like hongkong now.

For the past few days, I have been to Bugis, Sim Lim and Tampines Mall. The though of sitting down in a coffee bean and talking with all my friends was just simply bliss. I seen so much changes in them and learnt more change in Singapore. To put it simple in words, I guess after all I am a Singaporean. So returning back to Singapore was just so nice of a change from Perth.

Generation Differences

The idea of writing this topic dawn upon me while I was surfing the internet. I’m not sure if anyone noticed that there seems to be getting more websites that contain indecent pictures or videos (otherwise also known as porn to some). Some might disagree with me since porn has been around and growing since the start of internet. It is shocking true that the porn industry is growing by the years. However, I am not going to touch and debate about it. Those pictures that I was referring to are often girls or ladies who goes clubbing and do all form of crazy acts. For example, there was this post I happened to come across which has pictures of girls doing bar top dancing. The next few pictures showed them actually stripping naked and either it could be their friends or it might be the crowd who used their hands to cover these girls’ specific “body parts” for them. Has clubbing gone really that wild in the Asian countries? This is what our future generation is going to become? I can understand that everyone seeks to have fun in their own way. However, is this really the kind of fun that we wish our future generation to have?

Well, either my mindset has turn “old” or seriously parents out there need to do something about the new generation culture. I’m pretty sure that some will tell me off by saying I am “out of fashion” or I can’t understand what is going on with their generation and there is a gap between our ways of thinking. Well, I cannot deny the fact that we are brought up in a very different setting and that the demands and ways of thinking vary with generations too. However, this doesn’t support the fact that anyone would love their children to go out have fun and stripped naked. Or any parents would love their children, for the sake of love, just have causal sex with their boyfriend and took tons of their sex photos and post all over the internet. All these events that I have written above are all real life events that have happen in Taiwan and have been reported in the new.

I urge all parents to reconsider their parenting methods. Some might think “Nah, it’s alright. My children are gold and these events happen on in other countries not in mine.” This is a very wrong mentally. These incidents are happening in ASIAN countries now. This means that due to modernisation and exposure to America concept, more Asians are accepting this is kind of lifestyle is a norm. Parents seriously should try to educate their children in a right manner and not allowing these forms of behaviour and attitude to further develop.

Stupidity or Ignorance

What is Ignorance? According to Wikipedia: "Ignorance is a lack of knowledge." So what is Stupidity then? According to Wikipedia: "Stupidity is a quality to a person's words, actions, or beliefs."

Why am I interested in these two terms? This is because recently I happened to come across a blog who written something very unpleasant. And who is this blog written by? Well, guess no further, it is no other than my previous housemate: Alex.

I have never seen anyone with such STUPIDITY in him. He actually wrote that he was very unhappy about the task that I have allocated to him to fulfill before he offically leave the place. Gosh, what a jackass. Well, even if you are reading this, I still have to call you Jackass. Why? Here the story and why am I even angry over the matter:
Alex would be leaving the place on a earlier date than the rest of us. Since, he is leaving early, the only job that I could allocated to him is the garden. All he need to do is to clean up the garden. How dare he have the cheek to comment that it was the most difficult task and we took the easy tasks for ourselves. Furthermore, I had handed him the duty list like 2 month before the date he was leaving the house. He should know clearly what is required of him. But he told me that he don't know that he has to clear the garden. The frustrating part was that he dare to write it in his blog that he don't want to do that task and hope that I would forget about it. That explained so much the part where he sitting in his room doing nothing since the very day he finished his last paper to the very day he is leaving. What in the world is this !??

Well if you are reading this, Listen UP JACKASS, let me get this clear to your thick skull.
One: You have ample time to organise and clean up the list of tasks you have to do before you leave. If you fail to do it, this just show how "great" you can manage your time and proved that you are PLAIN LAZY.
Two: I have specificity told everyone that if he or she failed to do the required task, I would not clean up the area for you. You just have to bear the cleaning cost.
Three: Don't try to act stupid to me if you fail to read the list. The three word: "I don't know" will not help you in anyway because you fail to read the list that I have prepared for you.
Four: You happen to have the easiest job in the house. The three of us took almost 3 days to clean up the whole house.
Five: While Tony is helping you to clean up the garden, you were just walking around acting as if you are a model on a runway. Wake up, young man. If you lucky to have someone to help you with the task and yet you took advantage of him.
Six: If you are that really unhappy, feel free to call me up. I am willing to debate the matter with you.

Furthermore, Stop giving other people the impression that you are very clean and is willing to do all that is required of you. I can tell you now that you are not clean at all and you are super lazy and making life difficult for others. Stop have these wonderful nice illusion like Homer Simpson and think that others are trying to make your life hard. If you have reflected on the matter, most of the time the main problem lies in you. You failed to do what is required of you, which on the other hand, causes distress to others. Do you not think why I always have to scold you for not being clean. And, these are the so call things you have done. Look at it. It's pure rubbish.

This is a picture of the stove that I have asked you to clean. Look at all the black marks there. It was not there before you clean it. You just damage the stove, wonderful cleaning work.

Look at the dishrack you used for the past one year. Wonderful, don't you think? It is broken and full of rust. Best part I still have to buy a new one to replace it for you.

Look at all the pots and pans you have used. It is so "clean" right!?. You left all the wonderful burn curry stain mark there. Wow, I must comment "WHAT a Clean Person You Are."

Now look at this the shelf you used for you refrigerator. Wow, nice clean person you are. You left your cleary leaf behind for other to clean up for you. That's so "thoughtful" of you to leave something behind.

Well these are some of the things you think you have clean. But take a REALLY good look at it and I can be sure that everyone will tell you IT IS NOT CLEAN. So, wake up and stop dreaming.

The end of 2007

It's December 31 2007, the very last day of 2007 and also New Year Eve. While recontructing this blog, I glanced through almost all my previous posting. Starting with 2004 where I was still serving the National Service in Singapore. Slogging under the hot sun, repairing Land Rover and getting tons of "arrows" from the superiors.

Then came the day where I have to decide what and where should I advance my study in. I end up studying Psychology where I have long been interested since my Polytechnic's day. It was a a huge decision since I was a diploma holder in Engineering, but I continued.

With such strong resolution for 2005, I left Singapore my homeland where I have grew up for the past 22 year of my life. I left behind my friends, all the nice buffet meals, all the outdoor activities with all the brothers, the movies, shopping trips and last but not least my home.

Perth. My very first day in Perth, I must say I was pretty disappointed with almost everything here. The international airport is small and not the mention the airport staffs are pretty rude too. Next, the SV transport services which picked me up was a sedan car. It barely could fit all 4 of our baggages. I must also thanks my parents who accompanied me over here to check out the University and Perth with me. May it be due to the lack of sleep or due to my age where I refuse to let parents dictated my life anymore, I must apologised for being rude to them.

Life really started after my parents left Perth. I was all alone here in Perth. I barely even know my housemates, not to mentioned that they were all girls and 5 of them too. The only thing that I could depend on was my book which I bought over from Singapore: The Lord of the Ring. However, things change for the better after I started to know people living in the Student Village. I being to have dinner over Daniel's place where 11 to 13 of us would cramp at one table and eat. I would also not forget the days where I have to cook for them too. It took 2 hours just to get a dinner prepared. Living in the village is just like the hostel life in Singapore University expect more with more parties going on. Why? Here in the village half the population are Americans. They play with water during the day, party over at Lake view or running around wild during midnight drunk. Not to forget the tarven theme night where many of us would cosplay ourself and get drunk and dance the night away. Furthermore, there are also birthday parties which I have to attend almost every month.

Hailstorms. Yes, the year that I came to Perth was a weird year. It rained ice and for at least 4 times. The ice knocking on the zinc roof and watching the plants turn white was like snow. It was fun and such a beauty. Also, there are days where I could see the double rainbows. It simply amazed me each times.

However, even with all the fun and enjoyment I had in the village, University life was hard. I barely understand what on earth are these Ang Mo trying to say in lectures. They have their own humour which I totally got lost in space when they are joked around with it. Then came the day where one of my report got caught for Plagarism. Thanks to the Tutor which told me that well my report is with the unit head due to the fact that they cross-mark, so I have to collect it back from her. I went in and Helen (the head of the Unit) told me my tutor submit me for Plagarism. OMG. What is this. How mean of that Tutor. Thank goodness that I could make up of an excuse that Helen accept, if not the consequences are horrible. If she really submit to the board, I have to attend a a board meeting with them and I have find someone from the guild to defend me. Most of the time, the student will failed to defend and have to repeat the unit. Gosh, imagine that my very first semester I have to repeat.

Aside from study, came my love life. I was attached to this girl, Lyn. I guess the main issue was with me. I can't stand my girlfriend keeping stuff from me especially about the past. In addition, I find it was hard on her just to keep with me. This downward spiral came the day where we broke up. Beside from Love matter, I also got into an accident. I bought my first car and I took it down to east to Wave Rock with my relatives and Yunyen. End up, I crash it. It took 8 hours before Ben, Edmund and Tony came to help me. Thank you, guys if not I have to wait for a tour bus to come back to pick me up. But as the chinese saying say, you lose something you gain something. I lost my car but I gain another girlfriend which was Yunyen and we are still going on strong until now.

After all these events, I moved out of Student Village. I bunk in at Edmund's Place: Kingsmill where I sleep in the living room for 3 months before I find my first house: Pinewood. It was a small place, 3 room and 1 toilet. But it was cosy. Life start to quiet down after I move into Pinewood.

We went crabbing when the season is here and abaloning too. More outdoor activities than indoors one. Although over in Pinewood, We had hotpot every few months until we got sick of it. It was not fanciful but cosy and enjoyable life. Then everyone started leaving Perth. First was Pauline, then Edumund, Jia Xin and Yee Shuan Graduate and Zhe Xun too. The friends circle in Perth just shrunk smaller and smaller by the years.

2007, it was a horrible year. That is due to a new housemate, Alex. Geesh, I have been through Army and trust me I have no seem anyone as dirty as him. He was fine during the first two months, but after that OMG. His room starts to turn smelly until a point where I couldn't open my door if he open his. It makes one feel like puking then minute you smell it. His carpet in his room are full of dry leafs, toenails and etc. Furthermore, he thinks that he is very very clean and thinks that we are just being mean to him. Gosh, it make me wonder which planet he came from. Being a kind soul, I try to change him by kindly telling him. But he took my kindness for granted. I was pissed by the fact that he tricked us to go to the city and eat the Sushi Buffet. I meant I not angry by the fact that we go eat a buffet. But because he told me that Tony missed the buffet and he told Tony that we want to try the buffet, while the reality was not this way. It was terrible. Slowly, he don't clean the kitchen after he cooked. The whole stove was dirty and oily everytime he cook. Then Winter sets in, he switch on his heater until the point where he complained that this year winter don't seems to feel cold. Gosh, the whole house is freezing and everyone feel cold in the house. He can't feel the cold that is because he switch on his bloody heater on the whole day. Geesh. Just to write about him even boils my blood.

Dec 4 2007, I moved out of Pinewood for good. It took me 10 trips to shift all my stuff into Millpoint. I thanks the Owner, Dave and left on that night. It felt kind of empty leaving the place. I took 3 months just to find the place and stay there for the past 2 yr 4 months. It was a long time. Just leaving the place made me felt sad. But things must move on. Millpoint Road, althought the rent is high. But I love the environment. It was near to the city, I have a city view less than a minute walk and the river is near me. The house design is also better than my own house too. I barely feel bake inside the house even when outside temperature was 44.5 degree. It was a good place.

Therefore, 2008 is going to be another challenging year for me. I hope to apply for PR and get a job here in Australia. Just pray hard that things goes well for me. Well, a Happy New Year to everyone.

It my 2nd Anniversary with dear. Time sure fly fast, we are already together for 2 years and it seems as if we only got together.

The Card that Dear Make for me

I woke up early in the morning to get my hair cut. For some reason, every salon I visited was packed. I waited for 15 minutes or so in two different shop each. It simple is too packed. I ended up having my hair cut at Top Image. The hairstyle was definitely not the sort I wish they would cut it. Anyway, the story is I cut my hair and collect the roses and surprise her in bed.

I was also surprise by her with her card. She had made this for quite a few nights. So nice and I'm touched by it.

I took her to this Japanese restaurant in the City. We have a table BBQ for two and some salmon sushi. I do hope you enjoy the day Dear. Happy Anniversary.

Today is Tony's birthday. We head down to East Perth to have a mini picnic. It is a super cold day today. For some reason, winter seems to sink in fast. But it better than hot weather anyway. Well, Happy Birthday Tony. Sorry couldn't make the roast beef for you, but do hope you enjoy the garlic and pepper squid.

After the meal at the park, we head down to somewhere near UWA to enjoy Broadway Pizza. We heard that a lot of people have commented that this is one pizza that it is a must to try when you come to Perth. It is a sinful pizza I must say. Aside from it is simply too good to resist eating it, the pizza itself is super oily too. But everyone of us just enjoy it.

Talk about housemate shouldn't be cheating on one another. But this new guy who moved into the place just did. The story goes like this: Dave, Tony missed the Sushi Buffet in the city, would you want to go? Since Tony want to go for the sushi buffet, I naturally agreed to the idea. So the four of us head down to the city.

This was the palce where we going to eat the buffet.

As we were walking toward the shop, that Alex dash off to get a seat. Naturally, Tony, yunyen and I strolled there. We don't get the picture on what's the rush. I trying to tease Tony: So I heard you missed the buffet alot you know. But what Tony reply gave me a rude wake up call. He told us: No, I heard that you want to try out the buffet so I came. Gosh. So all along, we were all tricked by that Alex so he could come to the city for buffet. What a scammer this fellow is. How could he tricked his own housemate for his advantage.

Well, now to comment on the food. It was alright, not that great. The seaweed sushi taste awesome. Other than that, I ate tons of salmon and eel sushi. Overall rating: 4.5 / 10

After a month of waiting, finally my parcel has arrived. What was it? It was my laptop. The graphic card for my laptop just burned out somewhere during Feb this year. I sent it back for repair and my parents sent it back through Fedx. It took the parcel one month to clear the australia custom. Talk about speed and service. Furthermore, my parent even pay extra just to let the parcel get here faster but still gosh 1 month is way too long. In addition, the courier service mis-sent the parcel to my neighbour place. I have to call them up to ask why was the laptop still not delivered to my place yet. They say they sent and no one is around. Geesh, this is an outrage. I was here the whole morning waiting for them. I asked them where do they even sent to? They told me it was unit 19 they sent to. OMG. I lived in Unit 18. I asked them why and told them no I am living in Unit 18 not 19. Guess what Fedx told me. It is weird the postal address indeed noted Unit 18 not Unit 19, why did the courier man sent it to Unit 19? Geesh. I asked them is it possible to sent the parcel to my place again. They say it is not possible, if it is urgent I can collect it myself over at their head office in Perth. !!!! what sort of answer is this. I pay so much for the service, the parcel got here late and I still have to collect myself. What in the world is this service. I rang up my parents and they called up the Fedx in Singapore and really give them a lecture. After an hour, what do you know. It is the courier man who is not suppose to be here. What a frustrating day.

Its the Time of the Year again. The Crabs are ready to be caught by us. Its time to head down to the beach and start the hunt. This time round, Tony asked his friend where would be the good spot to go crabbing. It was Dawnsville: Avon CT.

I must comment this place is much more muddy and once you walk past one spot, you barely can see the trail. Its all cloud with muddy water. But the guys spirit is not damp by these factors. We push on until late at night.

It was good. We caught quite a number of crabs. Take a look at these.

It was about 9pm, we left the beach and head back to Pinewood to clean up the crabs and wash up. Then we head down to Millpoint Road to cook and enjoy the feast with Lee Wen and Albert.

Returning back to Perth, I am pretty much struck up in the house. Life in Perth change much since most of the people I know of went back. Then came this phone call from Daniel. He asked us to join in game of golf. Since the mini golf course is near my place, I decided to go. Well, it was fun. Was trying half the time to get the ball to over 20 meter range. We played for a few hours and only went back when it was dusk. Man, dusk in Perth is a beauty.

29 / 1 / 2007: Singapore Mini Gathering

In a blink of eyes, Jia Xin, Yee Shuan and Edmund has graduated and left Perth for good. Since I'm back in Singapore, we decided to meet up for a Mini Gathering. The first place we went was Bugis Junction. We gathered there to decide where should we go and have our dinner. While the dicussion, I grab a Big Mac to eat. Mac in Singapore is sure different from those in Perth. The burger just taste so much better. Not to mention there is free chilli sauce.

We decided to head down to Suntec City since there are more choices to choose from there.

Being aimless, we head down to Toys R Us to check out the new toys. Who say that Toys R Us are design only for kids. Graduates also love Toys R Us.

Time realy fly fast, it was 5pm after we got out of Toys R Us. We waited for awhile before Edmund came to join us.

As for dinner, we all decided to try out the Seoul Garden.

It has been two long years since I left Singapore to study in Perth. Come to think of it, everytime when I return back home. I would only go out and eat buffet, watch movie, swim in Ming's place. I have not try out the usual outdoor activities that I would used to do. Since yunyen is here, we decided to head down to East Coast Park for a cycling trip.

It was a refreshing and tiring cycling trip. I used to cycle for hours, but now just cycling for 2 hour was almost killing my legs. I was pretty surprise myself, the whole of East Coast Park was pretty packed. I recalled during the past when I was here in East Coast Park, it was just another quiet beach. Time has change, East Coast Park is now packed with shops, Coffee Bin, family having picnic and it just bursting with life.

Vivo City
This new shopping complex was recently opened to public. Since it was new, we decided to head down here and check it out. The Mrt to Vivo City was very new and not to mention the air-condition was pretty cold too. When we arrived at Vivo City, we were kind of lost. The place is huge. It took us awhile to know where are we walking. Well since we are here, we went to try out the famous ice-cream store which alot of people blog about and caught a movie. The GV here in Vivo city is huge and new.

11 / 12 / 2006: Malaysia Xia Ri Yan Yan

It is holiday again and this time round I head down to Malaysia for the Xia Ri Yan Yan Trip. Enjoy the trip alot, did swimming in the water park in KL and get to eat tons of good food too such as traditional chicken rice (where the rice come in a ball shape), Bak KuT Teh (soup and dry verison), drink special in KL MakMak Store. Mayalsia is sure a place where you can find cheap and delicious food. Not to forget the KTV is cheap too.

Yeah yeah people, its toons night tonite. So excited hahah wonder hows the crowd would be like. Lets see hmm first i have a cup of white wine before i managed to meet up the rest of the gang. On the way to tavern, we meet two girls or angmo lar. Think they are trying to dress up like elves. But they were way too drunk, they were like walking left, right, up and down man. And when they saw us, they were like giggling and then bursting out in laughter. That's the sign for drunk. Well ok enough of them. When we got to the tavern, man the crowds are there already. Went into the dance floor, i saw like tons of toons characters. Lets see i saw my ex-housemates dressing up as ppg(powerpuff girls). Well not to mention i think they are half drunk, jump to me and i have to grab hold of them. That give me quick a scare man. Next i saw this lady dress up as the evil character: Cruella in the 101 dalmatians, but my friend was way too drunk he was like grabbing her to dance with him. Hmm what do i see....oh ya batman and robin. Hahah the robin really cannot make it, he was wear a female swim suit those bright red 1 hahahah really is funny. I saw dexter (watch cartoon network to find out who is he), Duffy man (From the simpsons), wonderwomen, catwoman, kakashi(from naruto), transformer came in. Man the fellow who is dress up as transformers have put in lots of work, look at all the box he have to paint and draw. He's good. Oh then i saw this guy wear a bra dancing on the table. Hahah man i even went up to take a pictures with him and he say to take a pics with him i got to suck the cups. hahahah really insane but fun. Well the ending was his friend kinda of pull out one of the cup to drink beer and he was sad in the end. Lol but nvm who cares. Ya robin hood and shrek was there too, lets see who did i miss out. Man there were like too many too hard to remember. But to end the story, Its 1 rocking party ( apart from the music do sucks at times)

Before returning the car back to baywaters at 4pm, we decide to drop by Annalakshim over at Perth Harbour. For those buffet lovers i sure you people know what shop is this. But for the sake of many others who don't, well this is of course a buffet restaurant. Well its a buffet restaurant, indian and vegeterian one too, you don't have to pay a certain amount to go in and eat. Its a charity restaurant so you eat and pay how much you think you would want to pay. They have one in singapore too. So people try it its good.

Time really fly fast. All i remember i was renting a car from bayway one week ago and now i have to return it. The crap part the retailer told me i could pay cash after i return the car but darn now they don't. Freaking lazy people i must say. Such attitude too i must say one is freaking pissed off by him. Image when you want to return the car back to the shop and they just tell you to drop the key. Next he went out to drive the car and never tell you anything. And when i ask him can i pay in cash, he told me its all credited to my card. If i want to pay in cash, he would have to sign all the papers again. Wtf. That wasn't the stuff i heard one week ago. Crap pure crap.

Well i can't do much about it.Well since it's close to dinner time, might as well fill out the stomach better. So we went down to cicerello for the perth most famous fish and chips. Yummy yummy only problem now that we don't have a car we have to walk all the way down.

Man that was one tiring trip. After dinner, we head back home since most shops here close at 5.30pm.

UWA the only university in Perth that is pretty much worth for tourist to visit. Why? Well cause it's not only a univeristy, it's also a historical site too. Quite a nice place and the Bell tower, the symbol of Perth harbour (i think), has quite a nice view of the sea. With refreshing sea breeze constantly blowing at you. Its really a refreshing sight and walk too.

19/02/2006: Crabbing and Chilli Mussel

After a full day of sleeping, its time to wake up and do some crabbing. Well its summer and the poor creature is in season. Since when sea creatures are in season, they are consider a pest. So don't waste it, we sure catch them and eat them. This way we are protecting the environment and saving the sea. What a whole load of crap i type haha well anyway yup its the crab season time to hunt them.

Drove down to mandurah, there we got down and went into the sea. The water was surprising warm not cold as i expected. Anyway that not the main point. The main thing now is to catch the crabs. But where are they? i don't see them floating or swimming on water. Oh darn they are hidding in the sand. So we must walk CAREFULLY to not step on one or got bitting by one too.

After like maybe 3 hours of stealth walking, we caught like close to 20 crabs. Not too bad quite a nice catch i think. After the haul, we decide to go back have a shower and head down to my friends place to eat. But before that, damm i too hungry. Stop by the hungry jack here to grab some burgers to eat. I ordered like 3 burgers but they like gave me a wrong order. I got like 5 burgers instead. Well who cares, i don't really mind the extra food since i was really famish.

After a quick dinner and shower, we went down to tony's place to eat the crabs. Not too bad, the crabs were serve steam and stir fry it with chilli. It's sure is spicy trust me. i hardly can take it.

After the crabs meal, we head down to the city to try out the chilli mussel. Ooh man they are good. I ordered extra spicy but when it was like serve. Everyone complain how come its sweet. Well i can't help it much right, Australian can't take spicy food like we asian do.

18/02/2006: Lighthouse, Jewel Cave, Busselton Jetty

After a refreshing sleep, it is time to wake up and be on our way.

The first place we going to would be the lighthouse. Why is this lighthouse special? Well this lighthouse was built on the cape where it could see the divider or the line the split between southern ocean and indian ocean. This is the first time i would be see the two ocean together i guess.

After the tour, we left the place and head down to jewel cave. Back in Singapore, we learn that we have to stop for train to passby. But there is no railroad nor train we have to stop in Singapore. Here is what it feels like.

The Jewel Cave. It was a really a beauty. I though i be seeing diamonds, gold nuggets or some other kind of jewel. When i enter the cave, the guide was telling us well it was limestone. Kind of disappointed. But the formation of the cave is really fascinating, look at the pictures below. It's really is amazing at what nature can do.

Busselton Jetty. Around like close to 4pm, we finally reach Busselton. This place is famous for the jetty. Wonder where is it. After driving around, the minute we turn toward the sea direction. We saw it. No wonder that say one must be blind if you can't see the jetty. Its really really long. As we were approaching the jetty, we saw quite a number of couple getting their wedding photos shots here. Aww it is really a good place to get your wedding photos shots at. Look at the beach it's so clean. The sand is so white and the water is clear. Man it is really a very nice place.

After we pay our enterance, we start our 20 minutes walk to the end of the jetty. Along the way, we saw quite a number of fishermen. Especially the japanese guy, he's really good or lucky i must say. I saw him with a catch while i was walking to the end of the jetty. And he caught another one while i was on my way back.

After the 45 minutes walking from one end to another, we decided to grab some pies for dinner. When it come to pies, it got to be Jesters pie. These pies are really good. We actually choose 5 different type of it.

After a nice meal, it is time to drive back to home.

17/02/2006: Tree top walk, Tingle Trees and Gloucester Tree

After leaving albany, we were on the road again. This time the destintation is the
Tree top walk.

Well the treetop walk is basically a pathway where you get to walk on this bridge at tree level. It was quite cool. You get to feel what is it like to be a bird on a tree.

After a refreshing walk, we head down to check out the ancient trees. Talk about huge too.

After a refreshing walk, we continue our journey down to check out the Tingle Trees.

When we arrived at the place, I must comment that the tree do look weird. They have those lumps all over their tree trunk.

This signboard tell us why on earth these trees have these lumps.

Next, we head down to climb the Gloucester Tree. What's so special about this tree? Well it's 61m tall and we are going to climb it.

It was quite a climb. Once you start, you can't stop if not you feel scare man. Too bad Dear didn't join us for the climb.

After all the tree sight-seeing and climbing, we head down to Augusta. But as we were heading down to Augusta, we caught sight of the after-effect of a forest fire.

*Stretch* ah we finally reach Augusta. The first thing we reach the place, i stopby to ask a police officer where could i stay in Augusta and bbq? He was telling me some packpacker motel. After some discussion, we end up staying in a hotel instead. After we dump our stuff in the hotel room. We went out to look for a bbq pit so we can start cooking our dinner. I remember the police was telling me go up 2 hill and turn left the minutes u see a road. We did reach a beach but we could find any bbq pit. So we stopby again to ask a passerby where could i find a bbq pit. Well he told me he wasn't sure. He remember there used to be a bbq pit somewhere over here but apparently they torn it down. The only pit left is those where you have to used firewood to act as a fuel. Hmmm great darn, with no bbq pit we are left with the solution only to eat fish and chip hehe. So we just decided to just drive around enjoy the sight of Augusta in the evening.

Just when we reach another side of the beach, i notice that was this siren and light beaming behind me. I look back at the rear mirror. Omg it's the police officer, darn have anyone of us forgot to wear seat belt or i enter the wrong side of the road. So i stopby and ask him yes officer what's wrong? He just wind down the window and tell me well you guys looking for a bbq pit right? I told him yaya still trying to find one. He reply well just follow me i bring you to it. Oh man he was such a kind soul, to think he even offer to bring us to the bbq pit. So under the escort of a police car, we reach the pit. We park our car over at a nearby carpark. Enjoy the evening sight of Augusta. It was really beautiful, it looks like there is a rainbow reflected on the water. Then we start cooking. There was this group of austalian beside us too. Man they are enjoying more than we do. Beef steak, chicken, sausages and etc. they look so good. And we only have sausages left behind from Albany. But they were kind enough to share some vegetable with us. So good of them.

After dinner, we went back to hotel and that's all for the day. Sleeping tight to prepare for another day of roadtrip. Next stop The LightHouse

16 / 2 / 2006: Albanny

There are a couple of places to sight see in Albanny. The first place we went down to was Salmon holes, ooo good i can see salmon nows wahahha. Guess what when i reach there i only see a beach, a BIG WARNING BOARD and strong waves. Darn no salmons, so i went to read again the guide. Darn, the guide say this place was name after a group of salmons seeks shelter here. *Faint* i drive all the way out here to see a beach where salmons happen to seek shelter. Oh man this is crap. But at least the beach is nice.

Minglong went down to check out the beach. The water looks so refreshing. HMmm... so nice like as if you can jump into it.

But when Minglong approach the shoreline, wahoo the waves are huge.

Nex we went up to BLOWHOLES, ooo the name sounds cools. The board at the entrance explains about what is a blowhole?

oo good good, so we begin to walk to the blowhole. Trust me i think i walk around 800 m just to reach it. Its freaking far, and when i reached there i saw this small hole there.

I asked around is this happen to be the blowhole. People were like telling me yaya. I was totally blur there, didn't expect the blowhole to be like a crack on the rocks only. Oh well since we walk that far, might as well sit down and relax for awhile.

After the long walk back to our car, the next destination is the GAP and Natural bridge. Thank god i don't have to walk alot this time round. The Gap was quite a sight i must say just by looking down the sea i just realised i have fear for height too. We took some photos there and proceed to the natural bridge. The Natural Bridge i would say looks great, nature wonder i must agreed.

Next we went to the Albanny wind farm, it's sure is windy over there. By climbing to the top, we saw the whole view of Albanny and 13 windmill. Quite a nice sight with refreshing cool winds blowing at your face, only down side: its way too sunny.

Another good part of the wind farm was that we could see the whole overview of Albanny.

After all these sightseeing, its time to look for dinner. Since we are at albanny and in australia, its time to try out the aus style of eating, BBQ. First we went down to coles to grab some food, then drove down to one of the beach and start cooking. Man its was really relaxing, first we don't need to book the pit, no need charcoal cause it's power by gas i think. Then while cooking, you get to enjoy sea view. That is life. AFter dinner, we went back to the hotel and rest up preparing for the tomorrow journey.

15 / 2 / 2006: Off to Road Trip

Before we set off for our road trip, we head down to dewsons to buy some bottle of water.

Well our first stop will be in York. The drive there would take about 3 hours of driving.

After hours of what seems to be endless driving, we arrived at York at last.

Well, it doesn't look big but it is a historical site.

The whole town consist of only one stretch of building. The most famous site here in this place are the townhall and this building which was to be the tallest building in this area. That is four storey high. Talk about tall.

Well after our short visit to York and lunch in the car, we continue our journey to Wave Rock. Along the way, we caught this sight. I pretty sure the driver must be really drunk to do this.

After another 3 hours of driving, we arrived at Wave Rock. I must pretty disappointed with it. I keep thinking it would be huge, but it turn out to be a length of dam. But I must say that the rocks are indeed a beauty.

After taking some photos, we left the place and head down to Albanny.

I hand over my driver duty to Ming and zzz I go until we arrive at Albanny. It was close to 10 pm when we reach the town. Crossing our finger, we just drove into one of the hotel and ask if there is a room. The staff was very helpful to us. Why? Because it is 10pm, everyone is asleep. It was a good thing we could find a hotel and stay in. If not I guess, it would be sleeping in the car.

14 / 2 / 2006: Heading Back to Perth

I'm back to Perth again, but this time round I'm not alone. Yeah ^V^. Minglong and Karen decided to come to Perth for a holiday. After months of talking and planning, we are finally in Perth itself. Feb. 14th 2006, we embark onto the plane depart from S'pore and arrive at Perth to start a brand new adventure. After some incident that happen while trying to get through the custom, Ming apparently forgot he got a pocket knife in his bag. We got to listen to all the warnings for a whole 5 minutes. Geesh.

Anyway, arriving at Perth was a nasty shocked for all of us. Why? The weather was horrible hot. I think it was around 40 degree. Standing out waiting for dear to pick us up was still pretty ok. But after we sat in my car, it was unbearable. My car was like an oven itself. Now I understand how does an a chicken feel in an oven. Well, we head down to Fremantle to collect the rented car. Since they don't have anymore hatchback left, we took the sedan one which naturally cost more. Well the fateful car we took for the road trip was a honda civic, 1.8l seadan car. It cost like 309 aus dollar to rent it for a week.

After collecting the car, we head back to Pinewood where I'm staying to drop pff our stuff. Well as for dinner, I intend to bring them to Kimchi House but it wasn't open that night. Therefore, we end up eating japanese food at Taka. After dinner, I drove to Fremantle for ice-cream and wafer since it was a half-price Tuesday. Time really fly fast. By the time we reach back home, it was around midnight. Time to sleep and prepare for the big road trip tomorrow morning. zzz........

Having a craving for Sushi, I decided to attempt to try making some since they are freaking expensive here. Thanks to dear of course, the sushi looks so nice. Alright, here are the steps to making a good sushi.

2: Prepare the ingredient

Egg and Crabstick

Avocado

Seaweed

Sushi Rice

Teriyaki Chicken

3: After the rice is cook, mix it with the vinegar

4: Cool the rice with a fan

5: Employ para-chief like us to roll the sushi

After like 4 hours of preparing, rolling, washing and cooking, we are ready to eat our hard work.

Hey hey
Been ages since i post anything in text up my blog. Too lazy i guess well here i again to post some words. Let see hmmm how long have i not update what i have been doing..man its really long
so much stuff have happen. I move into a new house, go to more birthday parties and now its exam. Next time i know i be back in singapore in 3 weeks time. Darn time past so fast, no idea what has happen.

Well birthday parties yaya as you all can see in the pictures nothing new as usual every month people are having parties. haha kinda of broke now really sigh but what to do wide social network == more parties haha.

Was really thinking of going abalone fishing this semester. But no one wan to go so sad hai i want to caught abalone sniff sniff. The season just open last sunday cost only like $38 for 6 sundays. You could caught like 20 abalone each time you go and it must be bigger than 6 cm. So the bigger the better wahahhaha. Sniff too bad can't go exam this saturday somemore hai hai sian sian. Maybe wait for lobster season i go catch lobster then.

Spring is a period where flowers bloom to their peak. Thus, we decide to go on a road trip to visit the Arualuen Botanic Park. The drive down to this park was about 45 minute.

I must really comment that some Australian are really bad at simple math. The entrance ticket cost $7 per adult. We have 4 people and it would add up to $28. We gave the ticket seller a $50 note. He gave us back $30. We only realised this when Jia Xin check your money.

Anyway, we went into the park. There are quite a number of families having outdoor BBQ, pinic, enjoying outdoor classic music perform by some guy. This is life.

Well being hungry also, we sat down for a nice lunch.

After lunch, it was time to test out my camera skill. Well what can I say more, enjoy all these flower shots I took. It was a refreshing trip.

As one of the Chinese idiom goes: There is no banquet in the world that could last forever. I never truly understand this meaning until now. Aside from all the birthday and joyful celebration, August is also the month for parting.

Let see .... I recall I first met Pauline at the bus-stop when the whole group of us is heading down to Fremantle. We became good friends since on after a few of our debate over msn. She live beside my flat, so time to time, she pop by or say hi to me by the window (I remember she came by this afternoon with Melvin to chio me out to mac, but I was asleep). Well it was fun chatting for half a year. But she decided to stop studying and go back to Singapore. Therefore, we decided to have a farewell party before she go. I entered the room before i could surprise anyone someone surprise me. Why? Well one of fenfen friend was like hiding behind the door. Doh i though the room was empty did expect to find someone behind the door. We were like waiting for her to finish her shower. So to pass time we was like chatting inside for awhile until someone came in. It was Zen( a new flatmate) she was like yelling HELLO. Both of us was like stun. It was so suppose to be a surprise so could she have give us away. Ah Yuan came in straight and say shsss surprise surprise. Zen was like ohh okok. We were told to hid outside now as the party is about to begin. In the living room, pete light up the candle and went to get FenFen by saying hey fen i got some problem over my report, could u come out to help me? WeEeE unknownly its been like 3 weeks after i got back. Time sure fly fast, hai soon term break would be here and my first exam. NooNooNoooOoooOo....well it can't be help can it. It's spring here in perth but seriously speaking its feels like summer. NooOOoo...its so sunny and energy draining. And man how on earth is someone going to study with such a condition.

And we have steamboat for dinner. It was such a feast, Oooh shiok and i use the hk method to eat steamboat(hotpot). Use the hot and spicy bbq sauce mix with soy sauce and egg. Oooh shiok man. haha

After the Housewarming event, it was pretty much back to having a normal life. Everything was so quiet and everyone just stayed at home. It was until today where everyone is tired and bored of staying at home, we decided to head down to the beach to have a picnic. Furthermore, I get to try out my new camera. Great. Well BacK in peRth agaIn, as the saying always say all good things must come to an end. Holiday are almost over, time to come back and strive again. I arrived back to Perth on the 18072005. Sad to say, most of my instant noodle got confiscated. The custom officer practically threw most of my stuff out and want me to produce some form of proved that my camera is belong to me. I was so pissed. If they can't afford it, that doesn't mean that other can buy a good camera. Geesh, not to mention about the attitude they were giving me and I was strucked there for an hour.

Having moved out of SV, I came over to kingsmill to bunk in with Edmund and the rest until I could find a new place to stay. Upon arriving at the place, they informed me it was Corrnie's birthday today and they were throwing a house warming combine with a birthday party. Well, I head out with Tony to buy two BBQ pits and stuffs to BBQ.

Edmund stay behind to prepare the rest of the meal.

It was about 7 pm where the guests came.

Well, I have to comment on this. Most of the guests that came, we don't even know them. Everyone was like you go and entertain them, no you go its your friend. No, they are not my friend, I don't even know them. It was such an embrassing situation.

23 / 6 / 2005: Double Rainbow, Hailstorm and Yee Shuan Birthday

Hey yo yo yo, it's been ages since i update the stuff. Well just complete my exam, hopefully i do well. As you can all see the picture. I see alot of stuff.
First lets start with the double rainbow, at that period of time, i was feeling really really down. Things don't really turn out well for me, report got caught palagirism, got to do this and that, so busy. haiz just when i was really feeling down and depress, there came the rain. The next thing i remember was some ang mo taking camera snapping. I thought she must be nuts. Then my flatmate(fenfen) was going out, next thing she call DAve DaVe. I open curtin and look out. She told me double rainbow come quick. WeeeE...i ran out lor just to see it. ANd it was sooO nice. After seeing it, feel refresh and hope is still in the air.

I was just standing there admiring for a long time and of course taking alot of pictures. One of the rainbow fade away, but the remaining one still shines out brightly.

I have never seen rainbow so clearly in my life. You just need to zoom into the picture and you can even tell the colours in it. What can I say. Australia is indeed a place where surprises are waiting to be discover.

Another Hailstorm:

A quick fact, perth haven been raining hailstorm for 20 plus years. And its the first time rain so heavily and so big the ice. Oh..should wake up and see it. IT was soo nice, like it was snowing but kinda of noisy too. HAha...but it was really nice. BUT COLD too brzz.THks to fen fen again we got the picture. Cos my camera is spolit

After the storm, the temperature drop drastically. It was so cold until the floor form a white sheet of ice. Coolz. It was almost like a white X'mas celebration.

Lastly event to update: YeeShuan's birthday

Hoho, on her birthday, we've planned a surprise for her. Everyone ignored her by saying they are either too busy or they have to work or study. We left her all alone in flat for the whole day. What are really doing instead? We were over at Edmund's place in Lakeview preparing the birthday party.

It was until around 12.30am in the morning, everyone met up outside Flat 20.

Well i guess i should post what happen to me, since most of you guys knows. For those who don't, well i actually got into an accident last sunday, 22. 05. 2005. I'm alright, i'm alright. So ya i guess i'm fine if not i wouldn't be able to write this blog again.
This is what happen:

I was like driving and i saw this bend(should have slow down since i got a bad feeling about that bend). Apparently it was such a sharp bend that i got into it and i step on my brake. My car was drifting and it slide off the road which is wet and sandy. My car ski more but i still have control over the car trying to put it back. It was good until my front tyre gave way, the brake i think flew out. That when i start to panic, the steering become heavy, i try to put it to right but i can't do it. Next time i know my boot hit a tree and the whole car flips and there i was in the mud. Thanks god no one got hurt, cause like i have a full car of passenager sitting.

Well the passerby was so kind to stop and asked me if anyone got hurt. They even help me contact the police and the ambulance for me, since my phone have no coverage. Well i stood there in the cold for like an hr with so much flies on me, drench and half cover with mud. Before the ambulance got here. The paramedic here are so funny, they wore the ambulance crew shirt the wrong way and complain that she couldn't get the shirt to look right. haha, next she load me up the ambulance and forgot the medic box she put on the floor. But everyone was so nice in the hospital, they wash my clothes for me, give me food and drinks, provide me a room with tv and books to read waiting for my friends to come down to fetch me. The place was kinda of far from perth city, it was in corrigin.

When edmund, tony and ben got here it was like 8pm at night. We left around 8.30pm, on the way back, ben car ran out of fuel and was like struck for 2 hrs before tony and edmund got some back. What a sunday to spent it.

Hey Hey Hey, It was so cool today, why? Because there is a hailstorm today, actually it was suppose to be a thunderstorm. But end up it rain ice. It was so cool, beside raining ice, it was raining too and student village(the place that i stay) was flooded. Thunder was like flashing all over the place. Oh mind oh mind...I just sat there and watch the whole process. After it stop, I head over to Daniel's place to have dinner. Brr ... the puddles of water is sure super cold. Although, I can't really use the term puddle since the water level was up to my ankle. But it was really really nice, hailstorm. Hopefully i can see more hailstorm : >

Finally, I bought my very own car. Well, its not really a good one but not too old too.It's a 1990, Sonta. I got it for 1650 aus dollar. There is only one problem with it was the brake which feel kind of spongy. But it can be fix if I'm still in the army and with my toolbox and brake fluid. Haha but nah I guess I'll senting it for servicing, the mechanic here should do a good job.

Yawn, it was kind of early to update my blog I know I know. I was only in bed like 3++ in the morning from all the reading. But, I was up like 9 or 8 ++ because one of my flatmate was knocking on my door. Why? Hoho ... pancakes. They called me up to eat pancakes. Ohh its so good of them. It really been ages since I had any pancakes. I ate 4 of these pancakes and now my stomach is growling again. Geeesh ... take about how fast I digest my food. Haiz ... how am I going to last through the winter without having to keep feeling hungry myself.

The weather here in Perth is getting cold and cold weather is best for one thing which is steamboat. Therefore, we organised a steamboat dinner over Flat 20 last night. It really feel different eating with a big group and eating alone.

It took quite some time to prepare all the food for about 12 or more people.

But yeah I still pretty much enjoy it.

I learnt something new today that is the Hongkie way of eating steamboat/hotpot. They would make a kind of BBQ sauce which really taste nice. Better write it down since i have really bad short-term memory nowadays. First, the sauce contains a teaspoon of chinese BBQ sauce, add two teaspoon of soy sauce (those who love spicy could add some chilli). Last but not least, add a raw egg and mix it. Lo and behoLd, there we have it the sauce. Dip all the steamboat food with the sauce and if it too watery, add some soup and drink it up. This is really really nice, I highly recommend it.

Time sure fly past fast. Haiz holidays are almost over and i have yet to enjoy myself. Haiz assignment after assignment got to rush and tons of catching up to do. Man time is never enough here. Also been sleeping too much, guess the weather is just too good for sleeping. Haha as usual i guess haiz. Nah got to strive hard abit i guess.

THe story plots is pretty normal i guess, kinda of lame abit with the koreans. But still alright and funny if u been through army life u have no idea what army can really do for you i guess until u watch the show.
But when i walk out i did saw a poster that interested me in. That is the Narnia. In short, its the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. oH didn't expect they going to film such a show. Oh my goodness, wonder will it be nice or not. But anyway that show don't start until like 2006 i think. Arrhh i want to watch that show. Guess the only show I can be expecting is Madagascar. Watch the trailer and don't you just love those penguins.

Hey hey hey another day has pass, guess I'll be burning midnight oil again. Although the holidays are here, there are just so much reading to do.

I got up at 5am in the morning with a perception that we were going to the Canning Vale market. Apparently, it was cancel without me know it haiz...well nvm I guess since my housemate is making too much noise for me to sleep anyway. Well, I guess once in while getting up so early may not be such a bad thing after all. It was such a beautiful morning. The weather was just so cold until you could see smoke when you exhale. Anyway since I was up, I decided to continue the plan alone to the market. Standing at the bus-stop, I must say I was pretty much lost. Might be the early morning or might be just that my brain just shrink. I have a brief impression of how and what bus to take. Thus, I decided to test my luck. And I was lucky. I took a 99 close to 8am I think, that was this timing slot at 7.20 but I missed it. So I have to wait for the next one. Anyway, the bus took me to a bus station where I hop on to bus: 883 to the market. I forgot to mention, its free. Once you paid the first time, the ticket will be valid for 2 hr. You can sit unlimited number of buses within this time slot. At last, I arrived at my market.

I was praying hard that please please don't make it a flea market today. Since the previous time we came, it turn out that the market is not open and there is only the flea market. Well the minute, I saw quite a number of aunties carries boxes of vegtables and bags of fruits. I knew it was market day. Two thumbs up to the wholesale market. Therefore, there is no time to waste. I head down to the meat wholeseller. Sadly, they do not sell chicken or pork. I do not need 20 kg of beef and talk about eatting them. Well never mind, I was prepared for it anyway. So I head straight down to the vegetable wholeseller.

The walk to the vegetable wholeseller was pretty breezy and cold. But the sight of people walking out with boxes of tomates, apples, onions, potatos, bananas and etc, kind of excited me. Just got those super high feeling. I went in and it took me an hour to get everything that I need. I bought 3 vegetable for $2, a packet of carrot for $1, 3 rock melons for $1.80 and 2 packets of bean sprouts for $2. Talk about cheap.

Before, I head back to SV. I went to Emma seafood to grab 3 fishcake for $2, a packet of mee-pok for $2.90 and 10 seafood wanton for $2. Well, here come the tiring part, I have to carry everything and wait for a bus. I pretty much stood there with these plastic bags for 15 minutes. To kill time, I was chatting with this pair of old couple who came from china. They were also waiting for a bus with their grandson. By the time I reached back to hostel, it was already like 10 plus. Had a quick breakfast at about 1130 am, head to bed for a nap.

I was sleeping very happily until I was disturb by my phone. This was a rare thing because this is not Singapore. I don't have my brothers to tell me to wake up and its time to eat buffet or watch a movie, something like this. Haha. Well, it was Edmund. They rang me up to ask me go down to Garden City to do some shopping with them. Since it was Saturday meaning I will not study until night falls, I agreed to the idea.

Well, we got back from Garden city at around evening time. The gang head down to Northbridge Utopia to support Lyn in a ktv singing contest. Well Good lucky lady. I could only give you my moral support. It was time to settle down and start working on my stuff. First thing on hand, my oral presentation. I kind of find the topic pretty hard. The topic was bullying in primary school. I have to think of it from both perspective the bully and the victim. Arhh ... it was such a stupid topic. There were hardly any information in the database. How do I even research when I have nothing to research. Haiz ... But I cannot give up. I will strive on like Naruto. I will unleash kyuubi (not sure if i spell it correctly, 9 tail fox for short).

A lot has happen over these few weeks. It feels like I'm aWell tons of stuff have been happen. Its study break next week, time to chase back what i have been lacking behind. Firstly, i have broke up with my girl. Ya ya ya i know u guys sure say wht again bro whts wrong. Well, i guess its not time yet. Firstly i kinda of too busy with my studies. Kinda of overload with assignment and reading. So much reading to do yet so little time. There are even times i gave up reading and read my Lotr instead of the books i should read. Arrrhh its really pissing me off.
Haizzz.....well never mind i guess i should really really do some read during this break. I want to go down south for a holiday. But i guess studies are more important compare to the the trip. Maybe i will go during the june to july holiday. Well see first lar, aiya don't borther. First read read read read. I need more mp3 to keep me going. Arrr.........

Today's Yuko birthday and Chimari intend to plan a surprise birthday party for her. We arrange to meet in one of the flat and each of us has to prepare and bring a food to the party. Being lazy, I decided to prepare Garlic Bread. What is more easy to prepare than this dish.

I met up with Edmund and Daniel over at Flat 20 before wew head out. Edmund intend to bake cheesy potato.

Happy Birthday again, Kate. Although I didn't really do much about cooking,it was quite a feast in Flat 78 yesterday. IT was all thanks to Peta who did all the cooking. From the cakes to the mutton and then to the roast potatoes. Too bad Fern Fern can't joined us for the party. We had alot of fun and took lots of photos.

Well actually I intend to do the updating last night. But apparently, I was so exhausted from reading the journal until I fell asleep. Then I went out this morning to get some grocery and eat dim sum.

Now to recap what happen on Friday, MARCH 11th 2005. Well firstly, I was out on a date with lyn. We met around 1.30pm in the afternoon and went down to the city for lunch. Went to test out the Penang resturant, I must say it was pretty good to eat. It is by far one of the best chinese food I have eaten here in perth. They attain the Singapore coffeeshop zhi cha standard. After the food, we went down for some shopping trip. Reason due to the result of my creativity, I happen to dye 4 of my white shirt pink. I'm not really a big fan of pink shirt anyway. Eeehh ... now I have 4 new pink shirt now. Haizz ... what to do but to get some more new t-shirt. But in the end, I didn't get any shirt at all lor. Haha, Lyn was the one who was buying clothes int the end. Oh well, never mind then. We walking around until night and I end up doing my grocery shopping instead. What a wonderful and romantic man am I, gessh. I feel so bad and sad until we arived back to my flat. It was just before we reach my flat, she told me it was suppose to be a romantic date hor. It was at this point in time, I decided to hold her hands and the rest it just happen. I know that I am not the romantic type, my dear. I try to be romantic next time if you happen to be reading : P

Well, I haven really been updating my blog for quite a while. Was kind of busy with reading the journals. Gosh guess what, I keep thinking that I have to submit a report next week which turn out I was wrong. Guess I must have seen the dates wrongly. It was due on week 6. Gessh, it make me sleepless for a couple of nights just to read those crap journals. But well guess I have a nice start in researching the stuff. Then again, I have another research that I've plan to do this week too. Haizz ... so much reading. Yet, so little time.

Attended one of the lecture today. Man, the lecturer sure sucks to core. Gosh, I've asked him a question on his study guide like how on earth do I know what to study. This is because his study guide have only the chapters numbers but not the specific page number that I have to read up on. Guess what, he gave me a crappy answer saying: the lecture follow the books which go hand in hand with the study guide ...blab blab arrr.... Guess he couldn't understand me what I was trying to asked. This sure gets on my nerve.

Time to back track abit here. Last saturaday, I was suppose to go to the beach in the morning. Not that I can't get up on time since I recieved a morning call from Lyn. But, it was raining. I figured the beach wouldn't be nice with the rain. It would be so wet and cold. So, I give up the plans and head back to sleep. Although, I heard from Ben that dispite the rain there were quite a number of people who turn up for the event.

Anyway, I met up with some of my friends and we organized a trip to the city: KTV. The ktv here reminds me of the good old days where songs are all super pirated one. THe Mtv lyrics don't flows with the song itself. Wahhah, it was sure super funny sia. Furthermore, some of the MTV are fake. Seriously, I have no idea how to sing with such conditions...haha. Then again, it was still fun. Everyone was busy snapping pictures of one and another, instead of attempting to sing.

As we were heading back to SV, we saw the Cha Cha Festival 2005.

What can I say. Perth is indeed full of culture.

Last but not least, how can I forget this day. It's My Brother's B'DAy : HAPPIE BIRTHDAY RUIXIN. Enjoy yourself and hurry up post the pictures of the party. Feed me with some information of what is going on in Singapore too.

Yes yes, it's Friday night again. I will be going to the another beach tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be as nice as the last one.

Anyway, I just went out with Lyn to Northbrigde to try out the Tawianese food. It quite a cosy shop. Customers even get to watch those taiwan variety show.

Manage to know abit of the areas from Lyn on where to get nice food and of course to go clubbing. Not to mentioned she keep tempting me to go clubbing too. Evil Lyn Evil tsk tsk... Hahaha ... I think she's going to kill me if she see this hahaha.

Guess, I have attended too much dinner gathering liao. Gosh ... I being to feel the pinch from the lag back in my studies. The lecturers are beginning to use terms that I have not heard of liao. Haiz, this could only mean one thing. It is high time for me to do some catching up.

All of my lectures are in the afternoon which makes me really sleepy. I must say this is due to the weather here which happens to be so cooling and nice to sleep. Although, I have slept alot. But I just can't seems to get enough sleep at all.

Arrhh ... cannot cannot I must try to stay awake. *wake up, wake up.*

Oh ya, I went for one of my tutorial this morning. I felt like I am being tested throughout the whole tutorial. The tutorial here just seems so difference as compared to the ones I have attended back at home. The people here just go into the class and start chit chatting. It was so casual. Before I got into mood to start talking, it is time to go back. That is so relax ... but I sure not count my chicken too soon. I sure wait for a few more weeks to see how it goes.

25 / 2 / 2006: Beach out with Sg Link

It was like 8am in the morning when I was awaken by a rasping sound outside my room. Being curious, I got out of my bed and check out the sound and this is what I saw:

What in the world is this creature and why is it digging outside my room. It looks like a rat but its too big to be a rat. Geesh, I really must find out what on earth is this creature. I started asking around to see if anyone knew what was it. It appears this creature is known as the Possum and is a common sight in Australia. Wow ... talk about experiencing wildlife in Australia.

It was close to noon, where I met up with the Sg Link group to head down to Cottesloe beach to have a beach out. Well, the community members volunteer to drive us down there themselve and the trip took about 1/2 hr. When we got there, I was mesmerise by the beach. It was such a beautiful sigh.

Oh man, the sand was like so soft to step on. The beach was so clean and there are even corals to let people do some snorking. I even heard that there are abalone in there too. Ohh ... man, it was such a sight. We start to have activities like soccer, touch rugby and frisbee.

Everyone was just having fun at the beach until an unfortunate event happen. After all games, we were pretty much flush. Then, Edmund and Daniel proposed to head into the water to have a dip. As usual being scare of the cold, I refuse the offer. So in the end, only both of them want to go for a swim and they did.

But it was at this moment, Edmund came walking up and say he got a deep cut on his hand. We were like what in the world have happen. He say that there were corals at the spot he jumped into it. That was how he got a cut and it looks really deep. So we have to sent him to the hospital to see if he need some stiches. We say farewell to everyone and head down the road to find a hospital.

Well, we end up going to the Saint John of God and Edmund got his hand stich up. It was at least a good thing that nothing serious has happen to Edmund aside from the stiching of course. It was still overall a fun and meaningful day.

At last, the school term have started. But I am still having those holiday mood. HmMMm...well guess I have to slowly get use to it. Well for the past few days, I was like trying to get online but I just can't seems to do so. Apparently, everyone in the village was trying so too, and it end up in the event that the network was over-flooded. Darn, I can't wait to get out and have my own net access. Pretty frustrated with the network here. It is just so slow here and it is eat my money like water. Just in case, you were wondering what I meant. Well, the school charge us by every mb we downloaded. It is just so freaking expensive especially when most of the sites/webpages I surf have to contain like tons of graphics. Haiz, this just pissed me off.

Now to comment on my first lecture that I have attended. It wasn't really that great. The unit was introduction to psychology. The lecture was Jeff Corney. Gessh this guy just like to mumbling to himself and he told everyone a joke which i'm going to tell you all.
He was asking everyone if everyone could hear him in the lecture. Well someone responed a NO, and he was laughing to himself and replied(in mono tone speach): hhahahah you must be joking. If, you cannot hear me how could you even answer back.
Geesh ... what a great way to put this in.

I also found out that most of my lecture, I don't even have to copy any notes. All the lectures will be recorded and upload online. This is just so good. That should be the way how education works. Singapore education should seriously consider this system. It helps those student who wish to listen again to the lecture. I also realise that the students get to fight for what they want. If they think that the lecture is not working well or is not performing up to the expected standard. They could complain and vote for a change or tell him straight in his face. So that the lecturer may improve. That's should be the way how education should head into, Feedbacks. In addition to that, lecture notes could be downloaded online. This helps students alot, I find. I recall back in the poly day where I have to copy down every single stuff the lecturer says. I barely have time to even listen to what the lecturer says make sense or not. No one should copy in the lecture. That should be the way.

20 / 2 / 2005: Revisiting Fremantle and BBQ night

Finally, I reached back to my room. It sure has been a tiring day today.

I head down to Fremantle market this afternoon with the guys. It's the first time, we are going to take the bus by ourself and hopefully we don't get lost. We hop on to Bus 99 and it took about half an hour to reach the Fremantle.

Well, we got down from the bus and have no idea where we are at. Being guys, we decided well why bother, might as well we do some sightseeing then.

I have to say this place is huge. Furthermore, the sun apparently seems to burn our skin too. Ouch. It was a good thing that it was windy, so at least, it doesn't feel that horrible.

We were walking down the harbour and we saw these 17th century ship that was at dock. It was really quite a sight and not to mention it was pretty windy.

I have to comment that the sea gulls here are not scare of people. I get to walk really close to one and it didn't even bother to fly away. These gulls are sure very friendly, I guess. And yeah yeah, I saw this super cute dog. ooOoo man what was the bred again mmm..man i don't really remember it now. Darn it...I can only remember that it was mixed with chiwawa(Don't know if I have spell it correctly or not, I pretty much sucks with dog names even though I like them). Anyway you all can see the pictures i upload down there. Very very cute dog.

This shop happens to have the best fish and chip in Perth. It has been rated for it but then again it cost like 10 bucks to have a packet of it. As saying goes, every quality meal cost $$. So, in the future, if anyone is interested check out this place for its fish and chip.

THe market arhh yes, one must wait until late 4.30pm before we check it out. Why? Well, this is time slot where the vegtable and fruits are all on discount. Man, am I sounding like aunty but bo pian every cent count here.

After all the shopping, we went back to the hostel and await the bbq to start.

The bbq start about 7pm but we decide to head down early for the food. It was a wise choice, all the latecomer were like short of plates or couldn't find anything to eat. I must say that the vegtarian's food taste so much nicer, the beef is like rubber. I hardly could chew it, but the hotdog here is nicely done.

After the eating, it's like time to dance. Yeah the music was great and the dance was coolz. Well took with some pictures with one of the Japanese girls.

COugh cough cough, my throat feel abit sore from all the shouting done today over at the free New Year dinner today.

Well, some Christians invited me to join them for a New Year dinner. Upon hearing the word free, I immediately agree to that idea.

Upon arriving there, the guys were having a fun time there. Why, that is because we were having a super fun game of table-soccer. The rule was that the team who score first gets to stay on and my team stay the longest wee. The funny part of the whole game is that there was this uncle who stood by us. I ask him hello uncle, how are you. Are you here to join in the party too. Well, that uncle reply me that: No, I'm the owner of this house. I was like speechless for awhile, before I say oh you are the owner. Thank you for such a wonderful party. Man, everyone was out laughing out. No one, Seriously no one expect that was the owner. Gessh.

I must say it was a good night. We only get to leave the place at about 11pm. They say that when you are in foreign country, the moon tend to be brighter and bigger. I didn't believe until today. The moon in Perth is indeed brighter and bigger and not to forget to mention it even seems to look rounder.

I was like late for the student village tour today. It was suppose to start like 11 am but they change it to 10am that really make me rush like mad. Talk about starting on time.In the end, everyone ended up waiting for each other inside the room. Arrhh, if I have knew I would not have rush like mad. Well they pretty much give some crap briefing. Guess the only stuff I can remember now was like emergency number that's like 333. What a weird name to call.

After the briefing, I join in for the amazing food race. I though it will be like a really big event, but it is kind of a big disappointment. Because there were only like 30 people who sign up for the event. Well, I guess guys will always be guys especially those who gotten out of the army. They were always chatting about the good old army life, and I guess it pissed off one of the girls call Egna. Haha well as a future pyschologist, I would say point taken and I sure come out with some therapy to cure the Singapore guys from that army part.

But that's pretty much like in the future...okok time to cook now. It is my first time trying out the new rice cooker, so I have no idea how the rice will end up. The weather is abit chilly tonight, I heard its currently about 15 degree at the moment. So guess I better put on some thick clothing before I head out to Chinatown later at about 10pm to 2 am.

Hey Hey Hey, People anyone miss me?

Hahaha ... ... even if you do, well I can only tell you grab an air ticket and fly over to Perth. Why? Well because I’m currently in Perth studying now, hoho. Well, I’ll start on the day before I flew over here.

12 02 2005(The fateful Day):

First, I got to thanks those who sent me to the airport. It’s really nice of you people to like send me there. Although, I think its pretty troublesome for you all as you all got to stay up the night just to sent me off. Furthermore, I only just like say bye bye to you all only. I really feel so bad but all I can now is thanks you all.

Last wack up before I left for Perth

The flight to Perth took me approximately 5 hrs and it’s not all that comfortable either. Although I was like sitting SQ (Singapore Airline), still I find the seat like too crampy and they serve me a big cold chicken sandwich for supper (by the way its like 2.30am). I hardly manage to catch a wink before the steward were like serving breakfast already. Oh my goodness and guess what is it, well its noodle early in the morning 3.30 am. That one exhausting night combine with morning for me. I arrived in Perth at about 5.30am. I could only say I'm pretty much like a walking zombie myself when I got off the plane.

Man now I know that we should appreciate Duty free in Singapore airport, it’s so much cheaper over there as compare to the duty free here. Anyway that’s not the main point, next after I like did all my stamping here and that and collected my luggage. I have to go through a quarantine to verify that I didn't bring any food. Wow the queue is like super long.

I keep having the impression that I can't bring any food into Australia. And what’s that about cannot bring food into the country. Geesh, that's all a myth. Apparently, I saw some Singaporean bought Maggie noodles. Man. I should serious bring some instant noodle. And trust me the Maggie noodle here is Australia like so bad I hardly can taste any taste and worse it’s so expensive. But also consider that it is the cheapest form of food in Australia unless u decide to eat fish and chips the whole of your life here but still its like the cheapest fish and chips I try is still $5 ++ in Singapore dollars.

After what suppose to be a 20 min ride from the airport to the student village, I finally reached my hostel. That’s like 8.30am in the morning, well after some paper works they like bought me over to this flat: 78. That will be where I stay in the village.

Currently 2 Australians and 1 Americans are occupying the flat, and it’s like an all girls flat. Hoho sounds like Love Hina right, where this guy went to this all girls flat without having any knowledge of it. Haha but I didn’t see my Naru here haha. After, I dump all my stuff in the room, I head straight down to Perth city to do some sight seeing and shopping. I was like waiting for a bus to come by for like an hour and I don’t see any in sight. Until I ask someone what time do I have to wait normally for a bus to come by? And lo and behold he has to tell me the bus doesn’t come by the school on sat and sun. That’s really sweet. Next I try to wait for a taxi but I end up waiting for like half and hour until someone come-by and tell me I have to call a taxi for one to come. That’s horrible. Arrhhh…after like 15 min I manage to get up on the taxi and finally on my way to the city. And wow trust me the fees from my school to the city is like aus$56 wee and talking about cheap taxi they have here. Well did some sightseeing in the city not really got many places like to walk around. The city is actually kind of small I find but still from streets to streets still take around 10 min to get about. And by the way if you think of shopping here then you can forget it. The shops close here like around 5pm, and after like around 6pm I went back to the hostel. But I was like so exhausted and just went to bed around 7pm.

Ouch or wow the sunrise here is sure early man. It’s like around 6am and the first ray of light awaked me from my sleep. But I sort of laze around until 9am, then I got up. Hey guess what I can see birds flying just outside my window. They like just outside my window feeding on some nectar, quite a nice sight.

At around 10 am, I head down to school to do setup my bank account. It was there where I saw some student leaders (GL in poly terms), chat with them abit about the school. After opening an account at bank west (the interest rates here is super high, their term deposit only 3 mths and 5.25% interest rate cools huh), they have a free tour around Fremantle. It’s a 10 min bus drive from the school to there. That area is actually a beach, there like the nice sea breeze blowing on your face. And the weather is like 30+ degrees, so a nice cold sea breeze really works out well. They have a wet market here but still the stuff is super expensive. After a short tour, I conclude that area is only good for the sea. Haha

14 02 2005

It's Monday morning today, the orientation offically starts today too. Got down to school like 8.30am, meet some people from Singapore, Sabah, HongKong and etc. The directors give a short speech and we are off and away to view the campus. After a short tour around the school, wee its free tour to Garden City again. There I got a prepaid card optus line you people can give me a call if you all want, the number is: 0422797815. And it's valentine time day today. I only came to realize it when someone sent me a valentine sms haha. But until now I still trying to figure out who was it but anyway that’s not the main point.

I went down to do my enrolment in school today, sure got lots of stuff to find up. The whole process took like 2 hr, the queue is like super long. And to add matter worse, the weather over in Perth its like 41 degrees today. Arrhh the sun here is so horrible. Just a minute under the sun and you can really feel your skin burning and you think that Singapore is hot man. Worse you can hardly perspire here which I still trying to figure out why? Well I spent almost the whole afternoon lazing in the room after mine enrolment, my flat mates invite me over to the beach for a swim. Too bad couldn’t make it. Cause I got an international dinner over at the tavern. Sad, why? I heard from Lindsay that she saw a dolphin when she was swimming in the waters. Ooohh man I should have gone down to the beach. But still the dinner was quite fun. Quite a number of Singaporeans I met there. Hahah we chat about the good old homeland. And met some Japanese, have quite some communication problem with the language still we still chat.

Hoho but not merry christmas, its chinese new year time again. Time sure fly fast. I do hope it will be another year of fun wee. Well today, New Year Eve and its almost time for steamboat. Coolz, this is the part I love the most. Because I get to eat until I drop again. Haha, touch wood touch wood, New Year liao, I must say only good stuff.

Well another few more days and it will no longer be the Singapore land I will be touching or walking on, its going to be Perth. Hope I don't get homesick after what I heard Cheryl says. Exciting new stuff yet there are still desires left behind. Haiz but anyway that's life. As I recall one of my warrent in Army always told us: "Life must move on."

It has been ages since i have update my blog. After the template code keep crashing, I stop blogging for awhile since I felt so sian. Then came the HongKong trip, now I'm back to blog again.

I went to Hongkong on the 12th dec to 18 dec 2004.

The trip was just way too cool. Why? Because I just love HongKong. wee...haha no lar, just that the weather there is like 17deg to 23. I like that kind of cold weather where you could walk down the street and don't even need to worry about heat. Then, the lifestyle there is another factor. The people there work until late at night and sleep until very late in the morning. I guess I'm pretty much like an owl where I like to stay up until pretty late and sleep until noon. The lifestyle in HongKong always bloom with people late in the morning until the morning next day. Somemore, this is an everyday event. Haiz the streets in s'pore is so quiet unless some big event happens. How i wish that singapore streets is will become like HongKong street. The more people the more fun it gets.

The best part of the whole trip is that I met my favourite star: Twins and it was really close up sia. Oooh ... man ah sa is sure super cutez sia. Gillian look abit fierce that day maybe because of the makeup.

The saying say the redder the chilli the better it taste, that why so many people like Ah Gill. But I'll still support my ah Sa. But i was kinda of turn off by one of their fans. That is this uncle( really old uncle) he was like waiting there with flowers and a tag that say I love Twins. I was so shock by the sight of it, so old liao still chase after young girls. But then again who can resist them ooo...my ah Sa arrr.. too bad i'm back in singapore.

After I got back from the trip, I found out that there so many event going on there now. Like the day, I came back is the day where S.H.E will be there to sign their cd. Then yesterday even the avenue of stars there will have a concert. And last sunday, my hk friend, AH Yun was like have a paintball wargame out in the streets of mongkok arr.. NExt time i going to stay there until i finish christmas. If i have the cash i will stay until new year eve sia. Haiz...then again back to reality check. Got to prepare for my perth trip liao.

1 / 10 / 2004: A New Computer

Finally, my computer is up and ready. My hardisk crashed like the day before yesterday. The came the busy training sessions with Alex yesterday, so I hardly have the time to fix it.

This afternoon I went down to quit my surveyor job. Finally no more running around like an idiot and free at last. But, I am poorer than ever.

I arrived at the ML consulting company to submit all my survery report. Then came this surveyor, who was 27 year old, was like boasting around at how much can he achieved and blah blah. Then, he saw my reported as I've got quite a number of people who are not at home, so i put NA. He have to comment me to be lousy. What a asshole he is. He is already that old and still doing this kind of part-time jobs. Gessh, I almost want to give him a piece of my mind. If it is not for Melvin, who still need that fellow to do the survery, I will definitely like told him off.
Damn ... am I pissed.

To cool down, I head on for a game of DOTA. One of the best game I have play so far. I have been engross with it for like 2 hrs. Man, I need to give my eyes a break.

Wow . . . time sure flies.

Today, I was out training with Alex. We saw alot of families playing with candles and lantern today. It dawn to us that it was lantern festival today. This sure brought back lots of past memories. I recall that my parent used to bring me out for to attend this festival. I can still remember that there was this time where my dad told me not to play with the candles as the police was like scouting around looking for people that may be fire starter. Well, clearly I ignore that kind advice. I went ahead to play with candles. How could I resist where everyone I see was playing with it. So I just went ahead with it and there was this drunk uncle was just enjoying looking at me at work. Then this uncle start telling me, this should what a moon cake festival should be like as it reminds him of the past. On hearing this compliment, I continue. Suddenly, this police officer was stand in front of me. I knew it that it I am doom. Well, being a child at that time, I was pretty much scare out of my pants. He question me what am I doing and why am I even lighting the candles here. He took down my name and where I stay. Then he left. After the police officer left, the drunk uncle asked me why don't I said that it was his idea to light the candle not mine. Well, I just told him never mind lar. It my responsibility then. Gessh, this sure bring back lots of memories.

Back to the present, the moon sure shines quite brightly as what the new has reported. The sight was still pretty stunning. Young kids and parents were like walking with latern around. Furthermore, even the teenages are also enjoying themselve. Everyone was walking around with laterns, eating cakes, screaming here and there, play games, taking photos. Ohh man watching them, sure makes me feel like my youth day is so far away from me. It really has been ages since i last saw people enjoying themselve and I could seriously feel feel the happy mood lingering in the air. The last time I felt that kind of mood was during the previous trip to Hongkong. Man, just thinking of it just make me can't wait until December arrive. THen I can go to enjoy Hongkong again to enjoy myself. Well ... Hong Kong Wait for me hehe
